Thanks to everyone that showed up!  That race was a lot of fun and I hope everyone enjoyed piloting this classic machinery :D

From my point of view there was a lot of close wheel to wheel action and minimal vehicular carnage.  Hat's off to Fried for another brilliant victory!  Your lap times were red hot all the way to the end.  The 330 P4 podium sweep was impressive, though I still feel like the XJ and Mark IV have the ability win as well.  Without further ado the official race results:

1  Fried_Tuna -        330 P4 Race Car '67 - 2:07:47.518
2  GTP_Rylvir -        330 P4 Race Car '67 - 2:08:37.804     +50.286
3  Turbo-Tuna -       330 P4 Race Car '67 - 2:08:45.573     +58.055
4  dawson864 -      Mark IV Race Car '67 - 2:09:12.342  +1:24.824
5  Chrome_Tuna -          2D Race Car '67 ~2:11:xx.xxx   +3:15.xxx
6  DesertSniper72 - Mark IV Race Car '67 ~2:13:xx.xxx   +4:20.xxx
7  GTP_FLASH48 -      GT40 Race Car '69 -  one lap down
8  CharlieTuna -          XJ13 Race Car '66 -  two laps down
9  Metal -                 GT40 Race Car '69 -  three laps down
10 Tuna_Wiz -            GT40 Race Car '69 -   DNF ("mechcanical" failure on lap 5)
11 TunaPhreak -          XJ13 Race Car '66 -   DNS

Thanks again to everyone for coming and remember...test drive your vehicle before showing up race day

Yes close racing. I think I heard some guys in the back half if the field racing each other, and there was lots of racing between me, Fried, Rylvir, Sniper, and Dawson (though not all at once) I never took damage or real loss of pace from contact, but I think there was some minor bumps a few times. It was fun.

yeah I just wanted to mention that for a few laps around 14-16 me and Sniper were bumper to bumper.  Lots of fun!  Then had something similar to that with you Turbo, around laps 31-33 if I recall correctly.

That was one hell of a race.  There was definitely some racing for position almost the entire race.  I was on a shorter pit strategy than Turbo and Rylvir, which really had me worried, but it seemed to be working very well.  Had maybe a 25 second lead on Turbo somewhere between lap 13 to 15 (i can't remember) and lost it going into the Porsche curves and that :fucking sand trap really blows!  By the time I made it out, Turbo was all over my rear bumper.  Thought my race was done now, as I needed that gap because I had to pit when he didn't (different schedule).  After that pit stop, I just sucked it up and put my foot to the floor.  My second to last stint I put down a 3'28.897 with mostly 29-30's.

Thanks a lot for puting this on.  It was mucho

Wow! Congrats Fried.

I probably averaged 37s, the best I had was low 34s. The transmission really kept the 2D from being what would otherwise be a great car. I wish I would have stretched out my first stint, as I found out after, as long as I didn't over drive it, I could get 9 laps out of a set of tires. That could've played a big role at the end. Regardless, I really enjoyed taking part in this nostalgic race.

Thanks WolfPack, and all the other racers. indeed.
