I just hate driving this car, always have. I can't take it any more, after only another 6 laps. At least I broke 1:40 with 1:39.571. 
It is really not that bad of a car. If you can give us some more information as to what it is doing I know people here can steer you in the proper fast direction.
I can tell you after watching some of the aliens replays, you need to do everything early. Brake, turn in, throttle, all of it, sooner. Especially in the esses. Get turn one down first though. I lost a ton of time there to begin with, the follow that up with smooth and quick in the esses. Followed by drawing out and carrying all that momentum through the sweeping left handier and down to the hairpin. Try and watch some of the top ten replays for the hairpin. Then attack the effing chicane (best to follow that hairpin replay through to the chicanes) like nobody's business.
Also, what controller are you using right now?
