Sebring

I'm sure that many of you have read the book "Going Faster! Mastering the Art of Race Driving" by the Skip Barber Racing school.  The track that they use as an example is the Sebring test track.  Since I just got the Skippy in iRacing and already had Sebring, I thought that I would go over the book again.  After reading through the chapter on working up a track, I took the skippy on a spin around Sebring.  At first I really had a hard time recognizing the track.  Nothing seemed familiar.  Eventually I was able to recognize one of the turns.  That led me to realize that the hairpin had been changed.  Still other parts of the track seemed strange as well.  I did some searching and found that the Green Park chicane was changed in 1995 to the faster Fangio chicane and that the hairpin was changed in 1998 and is now sometimes called the safety pin.  So even though the book was first published in 1997, they used a pre 1995 version of the track.  Just a few facts that might interest only me.

The test circuit is the club version:

One of my favorite tracks.  I'd love to see it added to GT.
