yeah, MGT mentioned that there is no reason to believe anything that doesn't come from PDI or SONY.  Websites just like to put up placeholder dates.  We know that a beta will be released before then, but I'd bet this placeholder is a worst-case scenario.

I agree, I would not put any weight on that date.  That listing popped up shortly after Sport was announced.  Amazon does this with a lot of games. They put up a pre-order to take advantage of the announcement hype but they just use the end of the current year as the release date.  If/when that date changes, there may be something to discuss.

Edit:  I'll add that I hope we get a solid date for the demo (assuming they actually do the demo) by E3.  But this is not based on any information or other speculation.  It's just me hoping to hear something.

I have been reassured about a coming Sport announcement, but I have also heard some pretty disturbing rumours, as well. I won't spread the rumours unless I get some sort of confirmation.

As usual, though, if there is smoke, then how far away are the flames? Extinguishers are ready.

I read some talk about something similar at GTP about a month ago, but didn't think much of it. I'm not about to run out and buy another console.

I hardly use the one I've got.  No way I'm buying a second.
