I'm too lazy to go check my GT3, 4 and 5 stats right now but I just crossed the 10.000 mile mark on GT6 last week, If any one has a problem it's me.
On Monday night night it finally happened. After a few hundred thousand miles on Gran Turismo let alone all the miles I have put on Home and other various games as well as my wife and brother's gameplay the controller finally shit out. But wait, this controller is the only one that has not gone stupid with randumb button locks and shit like that, What do I do....
Simple, take it apart. I successfully swapped the outer casing and the left control stick. Not as easy as one would think, but easy enough.
Here are some pics of several hundred thousand miles of ware and tear for your amusement.
Note the steering marks. the notable upper arch is from Peakvox Ninja on home, the grinding and eventual breakage at the bottom is from GT5 and 6
Admire that glorious throttle and braking mark, that's not oil, that is actually a hand carved dimple, carved with just my right thumb
A picture of my left stick compared to a normal one
So yeah, we have killed two other purchased ones during this ones life time so this one did not take all the mileage. But, I guarantee this one has at least 200,000 Gran Turismo on it, it is the controller that came with the console and the first one to see use in GT5.
