Anyone need a decent video card?
« on: March 08, 2014, 11:30:09 PM »

I'm looking to dump my EVGA 550ti 2GB Superclocked card.  It's probably around 2 years old.

Ebay only has 1 listed that I could find, for $110.   The non superclocked versions are going for around $80.

I'll let this go for $50 plus whatever shipping is.

Notes:  That is not my pic.  I found it online.

Also, I do not have the original box anymore.  I also do not have the original drivers disc.  You wouldn't want that anyway, as the driver would be way outdated.  Get the latest drivers on evga.com   I also doubt I could find any of the accessories for it.  Most likely you wouldn't need them.  If you feel you may need them, I'll look around the house to see if I can find them.

Basically, you'd be buying the card itself, nothing more.

It's a pretty big card, make sure you have room.

It would score around a 2000 on passmark.com    It's a good card, but not super high-end.  The best cards out today score around 8000.  It'll run pCARS, Assetto Corsa and rF2 ok.  Maybe medium settings on pCARS and slightly higher settings on AC & rF2.  I'm talking single screen here.  If you want to run triple screens, buy something else.

If it's still around, I'm interested..  I'm using an integrated GPU (7660D in AMD A10), and I'd like to go to a seperate card - that should be enough upgrade to keep me going for a bit.  At the least, it'll free up some memory, and it looks like it'll do better than that.

PM sent.

The new 900 series nvidia cards are out, so I'll be looking to dump my 660 SC soon.

If anyone is interested let me know.   I'll post specs soon.

Price will be around $100

Mine is the one on the motherboard, an ATI Radeon HD 5500.

The 660 probably isn't much of a step up, is it?

To my knowledge, the Radeon 5500 is not an onboard chip but a separate graphics card.

Intel has an onboard 5500, so this could be what you have maybe?

Either way, the GTX660 is waaaaaaaaaay more powerful than either of those.

Benchmark scores...

Intel 5500 scores a 327
ATI Radeon 5500 scores a 881
GTX660 scores a 4118
