Ahh you beat me to it Ronin :), I have some very similar shots from that race sitting on my PS3 waiting for transfer lol.  Definitely a fun and close race though!, at least until I lost concentration near the end and started making some little mistakes that culminated in a sandcastle on the last corner  :laugh

Yeah it was some serious fun, I love diggin that RUF out.

I went out to hang out with with SSRacing and Badaboya to crash their Camaro RM practice session when SS got an itch that we all decided to scratch

Windfire - Audi R-10
Ronin - Audi R-8
Badaboya - Peugeot 908
SSRacing - Peugeot 908
Maddog - Peugeot 908

Late in lap 1 Maddog drops a tire and spind infront of Windfire and I

And through the smoke we go

Windfire and I survive only to loose windfire at the last curve

After loosing Windfire's support I worksed to chase down SSRacing during the second lap

After following SS for half the second lap I overtook his position on the front streach going on to the final lap

As the lap continues Badaboy reaches lap traffic

and misses a breaking point

This leaves SSRacing and I to fight over the finish line

I held on for a .250 victory

So here's some shots from Friday's Midnight show in the Lupo and Lupo GTI Cup Cars at the full Cape Ring course, it was a super night with much fun and great racing.. highlights incoming!

Our story begins in one of the early races, poor Dude took a funny bounce off the curb coming into the tight / uphill S section near start of the track that messed up his turning and catapulted him into the barrier.  DesertSniper was hot on his heals and stood no chance, I was close behind too and went headlong into the mess.  Unfortunately there's an invisible "seam" in the barrier there that just about stopped Dude dead in his tracks, DS and I concertina'd up on him...

We all had wobbly wheels and pretty heavy powertrain damage and wobbled off up the track and on with the race, Dude's car was a bit bruised at the back and poor DS's car was bruised at the front and smushed at the back where I hit him and pushed him back into Dude..

DS and I stayed together a while, flying over the hill side by side..

Catching back up to the leaders was a task and a half, PsychoPhreak, Dawson (aka Wolfpack) and Nosoks had a pretty good lead after the wreck, I managed to squeeze by Soks on the inside..

.. and we both headed for Dawson and Phreak.  A lap or so on I was bearing down on Dawson and the call went out for the Mario Kart Banana Peel :)

Story done, here are a few assorted pics from various races during the night.

And this was where my Nitro-boosters kicked in ;D.

:worship   "Enzo's Enzo"  :ttu

Feldynn, your pics from "Night of the Lepus Lupos" were :fuck ing GREAT!!!   You covered the gambit from Mario Kart racing to extreme nitrous -- all great highlights from the evening.  (Sniper, I love your rear fender flares... :D )

I will try and take some snaps from a battle Jayz and Feldynn had.  It was awesome.  Side-by-side thru most curves but one definitely had some tire wear issues going on...

I thought it was great racing all night long!

And as is the usual Friday late night fare; Feldynn spanked our booties in just about all but one or two races (one being when we started while he was tuning and he ended up being a voyeur)...

This is really becoming a challenge.  I find a quirky little car/track combo and then Feldynn runs it like he owns it -- car and track...  I dearly love sharing a track with you, Feldynn.

The premium ones can be painted.

Some "boring" pics.

Nice stance.  :)

Thanks. I wanted to see how adjusting the springs would look in a pic. It came out awesome. This is the stance that my Camaro had when I got it. Apparently the springs were being compressed in an "unsafe manner" and were replaced when I brought it in to a garage to get worked on. I really miss that look as new springs in front and broken springs in back does not look the greatest, or make it easy to see going over the crown of a hill.  :o
