It was a more dangerous time in the world of motorsports.  Drivers faced the risk of death on an almost weekly basis.  Back when men were men and there was no such thing as "being PC".  It was a time when most race cars were a thing of beauty as well...

Given that the time & day are right (which for me is not an easy thing to accomplish) I would be on that XJ13 like a crack bunny on... well, crack.

Not sure what car I'd want to use. I'm not particularly good at driving any of them, but I like them all.

Whether or not they are included is up to someone else but for the sake of discussion I have to ask why? No challenger or camaro were entered in the 24 hrs for 1969, 1970 or 1971. Plus the original list is made of sports cars not pony cars turned into racers. We have alpines and alfas that would be more fitting, as they were entered into the actual races back then. Curiosity is getting the better of me. So I had to ask. Oh yeah I am interested in the Ferrari or the Mk IV

I can somewhat understand including them...only because they're old 'race' cars. They were however, never meant to compete in anywhere near them same field though, were they? I would be surprised if they were actually competitive in that field. Sure, they may be able to get to 600PP, but that doesn't mean they can keep up, especially in a proper race track, with mid engine race bread cars with better aero.

edit: I would be surprised if the Chevrolet Corvette C2 Z06 doesn't get embarrassed here too.

Even though I don't believe it ever ran at LaSarthe the Toyata 7 seems like a more fitting addition. Sorry mind is rambling through cars from the game.

Baked, I agree. The Trans-Am Camaro/Challenger are Trans Am cars. They didn't race at Le Mans. That C2 Corvette, you're right Turbo, will get destroyed.

But, there are other cars from the game that raced at Le Mans in the 1960s:

Mini Marcos
Shelby GT350
Triumph Spitfire
Alfa Romeo TZ2 (this could almost compete with the others)
Alpine A110
AC Cobra
Jaguar E-Type
Lotus Elan
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (the C3)
Chevrolet Corvette (C1... it was actually a 1960)

Not to mention a large handful of cars I really really would like to have in the game

P.S. I'm not saying these cars should be included. Definitely not saying that. I'm just giving a list of cars that, in addition to what you've said (although the Jaguar XJ13 never raced ANYWHERE much less at Le Mans), technically did race at Le Mans in the 1960s AND are on the game.

Turbo hit my thought process on the head, but in addition to that it also serves to expand the number of selectable cars. They are old race cars, they fit in to no other place. They may be pony cars built into race cars but they are period representations of them. As for whether they will be competitive, well I have raced the 69 Camaro against the 69 GT-40 and had a very good race so I can attest to the 69 Camaro being able to hold it's own with those cars. The Challenger...not so much, I have no experience with that car personally but I have seen others do some interesting things with it including but not limited to beating the Camaro fairly regularly.

Yes they are old race cars but inaccurate to the target. While there are other cars available, if expansion of original list is needed, that would be more appropriate in my eyes. Honestly the orignal list seemed sufficient to me. But in trying to see the other side I had to ask.
