I feel like the original list is sufficient.  Since the Camaro and Challenger are RM cars, their aerodynamics won't be anywhere near as good as the other race cars.  As to the Toyota 7, it will blow the doors off every other car (stock it is over 700PP if I remember correctly).

If interest in this event is high enough we could run 2 separate classes for the lower performing vehicles like the GT350, Alfa race car, etc.  (actually seen this done before)

But for now I'd prefer to just keep it limited to the original list, as well as the 2 RM cars (but only if some people really want to run them).

I did some offline testing yesterday (in practice mode) using Race Hard tires.  Most of the cars I was able to clock in the mid to high 3:30s (just took each car around for 2-3 laps).  I had aero turned up all the way and the transmissions set to get the top speeds correct for Mulsanne, but otherwise left the cars alone.

The RM Camaro impressed me, and it was almost able to hang.  The RM Challenger though, I'm not sure it can.  The Corvette Z06 was able to keep pace with the Le Mans "specific" race cars too.

Okay looks like we have at least 8 people interested.  Could people please state what dates are best for them?  Due to race length I think most people would prefer to do this on a weekend.  Please state what are good times for everyone involved, between the dates of April 20th and June 10th.  BTW May 18th-20th is off the table for me.  For now assume the tentative date is May 6th (just using as a starting point).  The list of people that have shown interest is as follows:

TheHotStepper - XJ13
WolfpackS2k - 330P4 or Mark IV
TunaPhreak
ChromeTuna - 2D
Tuna_Wiz
Metal - GT40
BakedTuna
Turbo-Tuna - 330 P4

I'm interested in this one. Not sure which car, but i'm leaning towards the Mark IV.

I like Friday nights. That may weekend isn't good racing time though for me, as well as May 4 weekend.

My first choice for car would be the 330 P4

I like Friday nights.

I think I'll try the 2D. That thing has been collecting a lot of dust.

Good feedback so far.

After we settle on a date I will set a deadline for vehicle choice.  But for now you can change your mind if you like ;D

Damn, I forgot I have commitments starting Friday nights soon, which will last all summer (some kind of softball league).

So Friday nights actually aren't good for me. I guess Saturday is my preference.  :-[

Alright, it's time to set a date!

Please tell me which of these 2 you prefer:  May 12th or June 10th.  If neither of these dates don't work please say so!
