They need to let us know soon if Canadians are allowed in. I need to figure out my excuse for not winning.

I suck so no need for an excuse

hardly soks,

I've seen you get up pretty high on some of the boards in recent past.

I just hope they can eliminate cheating from cutting etc. more successfully than last time and in some recent Seasonal TTs.

If that's the case, then I'm sure people like yourself will get up there higher.

I know a few canadians who have simply refused to compete in the seasonals (or invest more than an hour or so that is) because the leaders are all cutting.

with a level field, hopefully we'll see the best up at the top, rather than those looking for shortcuts to glory.

But alas if all that fails, as I said on the other forum, Canadians can just move to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and still see a Moose on occasion.  :D

Copied from GTP's news page...

Here’s how everything works – the exclusive Gran Turismo content will be available to download from PlayStation Store, free of charge, from 17.00BST / 18.00CEST on May 1 until 23.59BST / 00.59CEST on 24 June. You can download and take part at any time during this period, so even if you miss the start you can still play catch up and get involved.

Once you have downloaded the content, Polyphony Digital will release new rounds approximately every two weeks; in total there are eight rounds and within each round there are five sections.

Here’s a list of the rounds and when they will be available:

    Round 1 and 2: 1/5 (Tue) 17.00BST – 24/6 (Sun) 23:59 BST
    Round 3 and 4: 14/5 (Mon) 00:00 – 24/6 (Sun) 23:59 BST
    Round 5 and 6: 28/5 (Mon) 00:00 – 24/6 (Sun) 23:59 BST
    Round 7 and 8 (ROUND 8 IS FINAL/QUALIFICATION EVENT):  6/11 (Mon) 00:00 – 24/6 (Sun) 23:59 BST

Have they talked about what they're going to do when the new updates every two weeks don't happen as planned and what they're going to do when some smart ass figures out how to cheat and they have to start over or are they just playing it by ear for the time being?

I was just told that Canadians won't be eligible again, this year, but not because of any lack of trying.

I think you can still download the trial and see how bad you get whooped, you just won't be eligible to win; and that's why I'm taking my name out of the running, as protest til my brothers from Canadia become eligible.

SONY won't hear your protest that way, Rick.

The European servers are being hit hard with heavy traffic, so if you can wait a bit, then you may as well. Otherwise, you will just get frustrated.

From what I'm reading the first round sounds like kind of a joke.  All you have to do to progess to the next round is get bronze on a handful of challenges and it sounds like it's ridiculously easy to get bronze.

Also, for you guys that don't plan to compete but are car collectors you may want to download it and get said bronzes.  I guess there is a GT Academy Nissan Leaf and also a Nissan Silvia to be won.
