I think what I enjoy most about this rendition of GT Academy is how in the first group of tests you were encouraged to put 4 tires in the grass, while in the second, if I happen to look at the grass at the Ring, my car ends up in a wall.  I like the consistency.

Anyone notice this? Does this mean that everything is basically meaningless til that very last TT? or will it continue to get harder to get golds to progress forward?

I wouldn't say it's a complete waste, it is something different to do, and I've enjoyed some of it so far.

I should have been clearer Chrome.  It has been fun trying to catch some of your times in this latest GT promotion/farce.
The waste time and resources comment was more for PD.  Rather than fix the problems that already exist (server instability, unable to race 16 in a room as advertised, etc) they have created more of them.
But hey, they have been to busy promoting the shit out of Nissan, Sony and the GT tag to worry about the people who helped make there promotion a success.

Even though I agree 100% with your overall sentiment, Boston, I have to assume that Nissan is actually at the forefront of this. 

My guess would be that Nissan said to Kaz something along the lines of "Get the GT Academy ready to go asap, and don't even think about patching/fixing your game right now."

I think once the academy is over, we'll start to see patches (and hopefully some DLC) soon after.

Yeah, without a doubt there is a sizable dollar amount attached to that comment. Hopefully that dollar amount will be put towards fixing our issues, I am sick and fucking tired of having to leave races because of lag that I did not have three months ago.

8-5 better not be one of those passing events.  Too many opportunities to cheat.  At first try I seem to be doing better at Round 4 than Round 3.  At least I'm higher up on my friend's list.  Except 3-5, somehow I got up to second with very few tries.
