Yes. Until TheHotstepper posts something. Then you should see Ally McBeal.

Spent another 1 1/2 hours on this and got down to the lower 1:33s finally.  That was without TC on.  Are any of you guys finding that it helps you drive faster with TC on?

I think they are all running TC off.

You can see what was used when looking at the leader boards. Just highlight the racer, it will show wheel or controller, ABS, TC and many other things.   :)

I find some TC helps me generally be faster, that is to say I use a controller and even though I find using the thumbstick for accel. / brake does give me reasonably good throttle control there are just some cars / setups I find easier with some TC.  That's not to say I couldn't probably manage without it but it would be more of a struggle than it's worth.

I did manage to post a 1'33.876 with TC was either on 4 or 7 I think.

With everything considered, I was quite pleased to be near the top 1000 in my region.  ;D

Feldynn, I put in a half hour before bedtime last night, gained half a second, which put me a few tenths ahead of you. You gotta work on that time, eh?  ;) I'm doing OK with this TT, 76th overall in Canada last night. I'm sure I can find a bit more time, maybe a high 1'32 if I do really well.

Great work Turbo!  I had another bash at it this morning for a short while, managed to gain 2 tenths so I'm now at 1'33.6xx but I'm probably going to hang it up there.  I can see many places where I can make up time but usually when I do make up time in one section I'll blow it in another, I just don't have the skill or control to get it right where I need to and be consistently right lap after lap.

But I'm happy with where I am and that's what really counts ;D  :lolz.

I've been curious as to how many are actually playing the last round so I took one of my other accounts and ran a lap of 8:40.xxx.

Results...

USA - 11581
World - 108124

I'm sure others have been doing this too so I don't know how accurate it is but it should give us some idea of where we stack up.

Seems odd that roughly 800,000 people aren't playing the last round.

That reminds me of something I was pondering the other day regarding medals.

There's approx. 950,000 people playing right now and 8,900,000 or so gold medals, on average that's less than 10 gold medals per person.

If we assume the 100,000 or so you found 8-5 all have 40 golds a piece that's 4,000,000 golds right there leaving only 4,900,000 gold medals for the other 850,000 players, that's not quite 6 gold per person.

I know not everyone is going to be good at this game but I'm surprised at how low the gold medal per player count is, maybe you have to have a certain amount of gold medals (or gold in certain events) before you can do 8-5?
