$1M ATM race - June 2012 500pp seasonal at Tokyo R246
« on: June 13, 2012, 07:25:46 PM »

How?

Use Charlie's shared RX8...  (231hp/1310kg/440pp)  :tex

Recommended settings: no ABS (brakes are 0/0 currently) - use engine breaking when/if needed; which ain't often, usually only if you screw up.  It has a low turbo so you can short shift at 8000 and the turbo will compensate for the expected power bog and there won'y be one.  It bounces at 9500rpm.  Short shifting and using higher gears in corner will make it more stable - hence I go into a corner in a higher gear and coast; downshifting as I want to put my foot back into it...

Go to Tokyo R246 in latest 500pp seasonal...   (if Shelby or BMW M3 are in, exit)

The RX7, Vette Grand Sport, Infiniti, etc...  all run mid-2:04s for laps...

LAP Walk-thru:
Third gear in turn 1.
Fourth in turn 2.
4rd or 5st in sweeper (5st carries more speed early, so I opt to start in 5st and shift midway thru to pick up speed.
Next little section enter in 5st and exit in 4rd -- 3st if you :fuck up.
Try to get to 6st before little jog and you can shift down to 5st and take it at about 110mph.
Next set of curves, enter in 5st but downshift as you begin turn. You'll begin at like 85mph, but will enter the second part in the mid nineties.  Hammer down.
I recommend you be in 4rd as you start into the final hairpin and downshift to 3st (again, down to 2rd if you :fuck up) as your speed naturally drops.
Then hammer down to the finish.

The car will do 2:01s flat.  :jt

You'll easily pass the #1 car on lap five.   ;)

Payout will be just over $1M at 200% and EXP will be just over 100K.  (now you'll understand why it is painted GOLD...)  :hhjj

BTW, that's with ME driving.   Y'all can probably dial it back even more and raise the payout.  I was just shooting for a guaranteed $1M race.

Is this method faster than the one i discovered of taking a Nismo 400R down to 420pp and running the La Sarthe race in 9 and a quarter minutes for 1.3 million credits?

I am using the same car as you on the new seasonals.  The info above was for the 500pp FR seasonals.
