i'm still of the opinion that race mods are a gimmick now that they require a completely different 3D model to accomplish...
it's trading a car slotted with a production car with another car that is much different.
to provide a race mod for a car you have to produce two cars. IMO it's better to just call it a TC and treat it as a different car than to get people all confused about the whole phony "race modding" scheme in the first place.
it just get's people asking for more RMs. Get rid of it. it's too confusing. Just make sure there are a LOT of touring cars and no one will really be that po'd.
IMO what PD could do is make sure that all race cars that are not licensed to a team (like the RM's and TC's) always have a street production car equivelant. Then, if you want to "Race mod" the car, you get a discount on the purchase of the new car based on trading in your old one. You don't get to keep mods done to the care prior to RM'ing, right? So it really is a new car and thus RM'ing is just a gimmick to make the game feel more like real life racing projects do.
