Tonight I don't know. Leaf is the man with the plan.

All the full lenght races will be about 1 to 1 half hour except possibly motegi. Motegi may go to two full hours. If there are a lot of cautions it could take longer but these cars are pretty well planted to the ground.

I think we were looking at around 50-60 laps. I would guess around 40 minutes.

I don't want to step on any toes Dlr but just threw it out there as an option for some practice, it's is very much your thing and I will go with the flow.

Don't worry about it. No toes stepped on here. If it leads to good fun and good racing its usually a good thing.

I just was not sure if Brindle was asking about tonight or the series overall, so I provided what I could in the two minutes that was left of my lunch hour.  :D

I'm down for 9pm tonight if the race is less than 50 min long.

I'm split between the Sauber and 787B, however in my testing the Silver Arrow is faster every time.  So I'll be showing up in the C9 tonight.

I have to tell you guys that was a blast last night. 4 cars going about 230 for 50 laps with more lead changes than I can count. Trying to keep tabs of the other 3 while trying to stay off of the walls was exhausting. I couldn't imagine doing 100 laps with 10 cars.

I hope we can get more out for this as I see it as a lot of fun not to mention that we all must have finished within .250 seconds apart.

Thanks for restarting for me when I showed up a bit late. I wouldn't want to start the series without a practice race.

I hope we can fit in another like last night before Nov. 7.

I agree .... another practice before Nov 7 would be ideal.  I've got alittle ballast to play with that may help toward the end of a run, and I'd also like to get a full tire/fuel run.

Good times with you all, very informative and very fast.  More than the 4 cars we had, your gonna have to peel my fingers from the wheel after 100 laps.

Jaguar held its own, so I'll be sticking with it ..... ;)

I think the cars are very equal and it was anyone's race.

Good fun and I think it was a good idea to advertise elsewhere to get more people involved. I think we may have hit our limit at tunaland, too bad it should be fun with at least 10 cars.

That reminds me, I was wondering if anyone kept the replay. I'd love to see a shot from the pileup on the back straight.

Dude I hope you feel better now, you were missed.

I agree with everyone, that race was intense!  A full length race with at least double the entrants will be quite riveting!

LLF I saved the replay so should be able to get some pics from that "lol" worthy crash

I'm glad you're better Dude, you missed a good one.

I believe 3 of the 4 started on mediums and 1 was on hards. I think we pitted around lap 32 but that was only because we had a few cautions and it seemed like a good idea.

I can't remember who but I think 1 of us went all 50 laps without a stop. I may be wrong about that, it was kind of crazy. After the race I thought, I never had time to even notice my lap times and top speed down the straights.

I believe the thinking was that we would need 1 stop for gas for sure and may as well change tires at the same time. I was getting used to the mediums and may try that route again.

We also need a plan for recruiting more drivers, 10 - 12 would be amazing.

What little I do these days is all tunaland but I'll try posting the event and a link to here on the PSN this weekend. I have not posted there in at least two years, so no one there knows me unless some of the old 5P regulars are still there. So long story short I have no idea if it will help or not.  I said it last night and I'll say it again if any you go on other sites/groups your more than welcome to advertise the event.

Also, I got the replay as well. The "big one" that all four of us were in did not actually look like much on the replay, but I got pictures of it and of the finish, that I'll try and post soon.

Also Also, In the big one every one took some damage and made a pit stop so technically we all pitted at least once. I can't speak for the others but I did not take on fuel on my pit stops and had plenty to go if the race had lasted beyond 50 laps.  The furthest I've gone on fuel in testing is 65 laps in which I spent most of it in at least one cars draft.

Also, also, also, on a side note, I may switch cars.  The R92 seems great on the other tracks but I can't seem to maintain a driving line with it at Daytona. At this point I'm thinking maybe the 787B or just accept that the R92, me and Daytona is not a good mix and just soldier through.  :-\

Also, also, also, also, the racing was awesome.  :D

I posted the series over at the Planet.

We'll see if anything happens there. I don't know how many we are looking for but I would say the more the merrier.

I ran the 50 lapper on hards, and they were looking and feeling really good, until the 4 car crash happened.  Since I had to pit for damage, I stayed with a new set of hards, but took no gas.  Because of the cautions, I had a little more than a 1/4 tank at race end.

The 4 car, turn 3, crash happened around lap 40?  I think? Just before that I noticed a slight looseness in the low line between turns 1 and 2 ..... there is a dip there that will throw the car off balance.  The rear almost came around on me in that spot.  Even though the tire meter shows alot of tire left, some cars are very uncontrollable with even the slightest wear.

Good times ... fun fun!
