I went on again last night and had 10 level 23 tickets waiting for me. I want to thank everyone who sent me tickets it is very much appreciated, you guys are the best.
I only had to reload once as I got all of my cars with 8 tickets. I now have all of them plus an extra 787/B.
I took out two cars at their specs and was consistent 42:1xx for both. I did manage once to get a 41:944 but that was it. I did no other tuning but figure once I decide on a car I can play with it to run consistent 41's. I don't see any 40's happening though but you never know.
This should be fun and just so I know we will not be running any road courses so I can concentrate on ovals?
Thanks again guys for your generosity.
Correct, there will be no road courses this time around. If every thing goes well with the oval series, then I hope to look at a longer road course series using the real world circuts. But, that will be some time next year and there are still a ifs and buts to sort out with the road course series. When the time comes I'll definitely be asking for help balancing the cars. I've done some very preliminary tests and the rules as they stand for ovals will not work on the road courses.
Also, in my own pursuit to pick a race car, I've been managing 41.3s on hard tires. Just for kicks I tried racing softs and I dropped to 41.1 and that was just with aero and tire changes. So I think a 40.9 might be found. Also FYI, so far I've found racing hard tires are good for about 30 laps. Racing soft tires are only good for about 15 laps. Keep in mind after the update on the 25th the tire wear and lap times could completely change.
Also, Also, How does Wendsday November 7th at 9pm eastern sound for round 1? With rounds 2, 3 and 4 tentatively set for the first Wednesday of December, January and February. Doing so would leave room for any one who wants to run a Daytona 500 or Daytona 24 evnet.
