We'll see if anything happens there. I don't know how many we are looking for but I would say the more the merrier.

I gave it a bump

I ran the 50 lapper on hards, and they were looking and feeling really good, until the 4 car crash happened.  Since I had to pit for damage, I stayed with a new set of hards, but took no gas.  Because of the cautions, I had a little more than a 1/4 tank at race end.

The 4 car, turn 3, crash happened around lap 40?  I think? Just before that I noticed a slight looseness in the low line between turns 1 and 2 ..... there is a dip there that will throw the car off balance.  The rear almost came around on me in that spot.  Even though the tire meter shows alot of tire left, some cars are very uncontrollable with even the slightest wear.

Good times ... fun fun!

Good point I get caught out by that quite often.

I was running most of the race on Race Medium tires, and maybe it had to do with my tune but the Sauber felt a bit unstable to me.  If I pick this car for the race I will almost certainly be using RS tires I think.

I will be on holiday the last 2 weeks of this month so I thought I would try to tune my car for Montegi. Boy that is going to be a fun race. No going flat out there. I can through turns 1 & 2 but no way at 3 & 4.

I got it down to low 28's and 1 lap at 27:941. I'm sure I can squeeze out a bit more but it's going to be hard work at this place.

Looking forward to the series, I guess we are looking at our field at this point. No bites anywhere else. Like my old man would say, "they don't know what they'll be missing".

I think it is still a bit early. We definitely need to bump the threads a couple weeks before the first race though. 


Also, Motegi (that name always reminds me of Mogwai) sounds exciting.

Ya I know it's early but I really wish I was racing tonight but we have company and I'm making a full prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding and the works. I may even get lucky tonight. Have fun everyone.

I know its stupid. I'm just killing time before tonight's race.   



Motegi and Indy should both be very interesting and completely different from Daytona and Route X

At Motegi running flat out is not an option turns 3 and 4 are just too tight. (although the FGT can do it) and if by any chance you find a way to run flat out, I'm pretty sure you'll wear out your tires in record time.

At Indy you can run flat out but you need downforce to do it. So I think the question will become how much downforce do you run. Do you go flat out all the way around or do you set the car up to lift slightly in the turns and maybe grab an extra miler per hour or two on the straights. Or risk making an extra pit stop for grippier tires and less down force? My experiences so far at Indy remind me a lot of the May Undie race.

I might can friday.  I'm in the middle of a home project that is taking up all my free time this week.  I plan on getting a lot of practice next week and over the weekend.
