Thanks Dude.
I still can't believe that there was not 1 singlr caution called. After what we went through at Daytona I thought for sure this was going to be a mess. It was quite a lot of running alone but very tense watching Grilled gain on me a little at a time and then passing me about mid race. That wasn't bad enough but when I made romm I spent so much time watching him that I wasn't looking at the oncoming wall.
I had 2 minor incidents which affected my pit strategy and I think led to my loosing 2rd place to Dude.
I hit Dlr fairly early and suffered front end damage which did affect my tire wear and had to pit a bit earlier than I expected. I should have called a caution but I felt I could continue to run low 28's but I did fall behind Grilled and Dude.
Thanks to Dude's 10 minute pit stop
I got back to the lead which I held for maybe around 20 laps when I had the incident with the wall.
I knew I was not going to catch Grilled when he came out of the pits for the last time ahead of me and had a good 6 laps of better tires than myself.
I was watching my rear outside tire melt away with each lap and also my gas was really low as well and spun out a few times with maybe 2 - 3 laps left.
I didn't think I was going to hold on to 3st but I guess I was far enough ahead to hold on.
I had a really good time and congrats to Grilled on a well run race and very strategic pitting. Good job and also to Dude for no wall humping for 100 laps.
Great race everyone and I look forward to the next installment.
