The wheel is different.

That too got very bad reviews, with the main complaint I remember, was a huge dead spot in the steering center.

at the very least, the little wheelie thing in the middle of this new one is a really innovative and useful idea, if done correctly.  though, as you have elluded, it may not have been.

maybe someone else will pick up the idea and make a better quality one?

I think I still have one of those! I think it came with "Car and Driver Presents: Grand Tour Racing '98"... used it once and couldn't figure it out. I was 11.

Hey Baked, I thingk we got the same seats...

hi guys... a few of you mentioned having the above seat.  Baked even suggested he found one for around $100

Can anyone point me to a listing for one (single) seat that might be right around that price-range?

I see some of those listings on Ebay but they appear to be for pairs only.

Any help would be appreciated!  Ty

Did you find your seat EX? I just saw this and thought I'd check to see if you found one.

I had the same problem so I ended up buying a pair on Kijiji for $175.00. Then I turned around and sold 1 of them for $100.00 on Kijiji as well. I sold it in less than a week and they came to my house to pick it up. Great transaction all the way around.

That rig looks an awful lot like mine, I love it.

a tuna here actually PM'd me that he has an extra one he'd be willing to ship to me... that is, as soon as I find some extra cash.  unfortunately, that may not happen soon because my real car needs some work.

Shifter side rear 3/4 view. Horizontal bar in front of x will hold a shelf for steering wheel to bolt to. The shelf will be mounted to the frame with two U bolts which will allow me to adjust the angle of steering wheel.

This friggin version is stiff still no glue only the two pieces of threaded rod. But betweeen them the curved parts and the X the whole thing is tight. Some sub frames will get glued but thats it.
Will have follow up pics as I get through the next couple of steps.
