Got to play for about an hour last night.

Great game as expected.

Only had time to drive the stock cars and the Opala.  Both felt great.  The Opala was challenging but fun.

Looking forward to driving the karts.

Loaded up a few mod tracks and enjoyed those as well.  The Barcelona track was decent, Com8's Nurburgring is widely regarded as one of the better mod Green Hells you'll find.  I enjoyed it.  Had some trouble getting other mod tracks to load but I'll figure that out eventually.   Also loaded up the FIA GT mod, but didn't have time to try it.


Will post more thoughts after I play it more.  I can already tell I'll get my $24 worth.

When I feel like racing against AI, this is what I play.  The AI isn't perfect but pretty good.  It does take a little fiddling to get a good setting.

One of my favourite combos is the F3 car at Taruma.  I like the flow of Taruma and it suits the F3 car very well.  The only car that I don't really like is the Camaro.  I suspect that the only reason that it was included was because it is the pace car for the stock cars.

I don't really have the time to even fully explore the official content so I've mostly been avoiding mods.  My rF2 install became quite unwieldy with all the cars and tracks so I cleaned most of it out except for a few tracks.  If you find anything that is "can't miss" let me know.

I had downloaded a rF2 version of Montreal but it was pretty sad.  I have Montreal for iRacing.  Needless to say, the iRacing track is awesome.  Sometimes, I'm not really sure if I like Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as much as I think I do, or if I'm influenced by the fact that Montreal is one of my favourite cities in the world.

Downloaded every track from that site I posted earlier.  Plan to install them one by one and see what's worth keeping.  I'll keep you posted.

Not the prettiest mod track around, but still one of my faves.  Great track.

The FIA GT mod is pretty damn fun too!

Formula V12 (a mid 90s formula 1 car) and Montreal announced for the DLC.  They are using an old configuration for Montreal which looks more fun than the new one.

V1.15 is apparently out now though it doesn't sound like it has been officially released.  I'm downloading it now via "GSC SYnc.exe"
