Has anyone done any laps, just curious about lap times.

I turned about 20 laps the other day and while I was nervous about sports hard tires I have to tell you that it holds like glue.

No issues there at all.

I was running consistent 48:7xx with one lap of 48:702.

I hope that's competitive.

Leaf that's about a tenth faster than the times I'm seeing in a car that's not broken in.

I have heard the conspiracy theorists this is the year Nascar makes sure Jr wins every other race starting at Daytona to boost ratings. And since I know gentlemen who own more the one beer can helmet would never steer me wrong Jr is my pick.  8)

They're dropping like flies.

I don't see the point in qualifying if there are only going to be 8 or 9 guys.

Brindle, Can we get the OP updated to get an idea who is left?

Just wanted to verify the HP figure is correct at 571???  When I took my brand new JPM Chevy to get an oil change it showed 571 PP after the change.  Cutting HP to 571 requires engine limiter at over 66%.  This is correct?

That is the correct HP.  (for lack of a restrictor plate option)

Thanks Brindle,

Not as bad as I thought. 11 or 12 should be a blast.

Just a quick question as to qualifying tomorrow. Do we just show up at 9 and take turns running 2 laps and also which lobby will we be going to.

Dumb question time...is qualifying even relevant at Daytona?  If someone Q's last, they can still be in the lead by the end of the first lap.

I don't think Almendinger actually has a ride this year or has a team picked him up?
