Anyone run some laps at Monza yet?  Did some practice last night and my best laps were high 1:58s.  Seemed pretty good, that's with my weight at 1275kg.

A few of us did some laps after the last race. Grumpy and I had pretty close times, but was it 1'58 or 1'57? I forget. If it was 1'57 it was a high 1'57, I think. Lots of help I am!

Can we keep our mics on this time? I think that will help alleviate a lot of the frustrations from the last race. I noticed after we agreed to turn them off that many just kept them on. I heard a lot of chatter after mine was muted.

Thanks,

We will go live mics and the new Feldynnized caution. If there is a multiple wreck on the 1rd lap call a caution. Everyone at this point hold your position and catch up to the leader who should have slowed to 50 mph. Once the crash victims catch up let the pack know and the leader can call green, green, green as soon as they like.

This is the only lap that this can occur. After lap 1 everyone is on their own but please race with respect.

That is more than this ugly dog with bad eyes can read at once.

I have the map on and I usually know where everyone is at. Who I'm gaining on or losing time to. I always attempt to let faster traffic through as easily and cleanly as possible.

See you tomorrow night.

I also will be letting faster traffic pass from now on. And since it's clear that all of you are faster or think you are faster, that means I'll get out of all of your way so that your racing experience is not impeded by my presence on the track in front of you.

Looking forward to an exciting race tomorrow.

I was just reading the OP and I could have (or should have) been dumping weight thru this entire series...    Charlie is going on a diet starting tonight...   ;D

Mike, I didn't get that impression from the recent discussions in this thread.  Monza is a wide open track with lots of room.  Let's have a fun race tonight!!  :)

Yeah, also note that you can add as much downforce as you want too. I didn't figure that one out until after the last race. Might make you slower at Monza, not sure. Some experimentation there might be in order.

MX, given the nature of this track I eased up on the downforce (mainly in the rear).  Car seems stable enough to me without it and given the high speed nature I figured the less drag the better!

Good tip, thanks. Did you do any actually test laps with full downforce vs. less? I know you'll be faster down the straight with less, but I wonder about that last right hander. If you can carry more speed through that corner, it might even out. Plus it would then make the care more predictable throughout the remainder of the course.
