Vettel challenge can kiss my ring. Got the fucker golded and had the most trouble at Suzie which is my fav of the 3 tracks. Prize fantasy cars are in the boneyard where they can stay....pieces  of amphibian :shit

Suzie was one of the easiest for me.  I passed Vettel before the end of the esses on the first lap.

I'm a little different Chrome.
Apricot Hill is where the AI have been dicks to me.  Have come in first place on the first two races countless times only to be punted at Apricot Hill so many times that I end up with no chance at winning gold for the series event.  It is pissing me off.

Indeed. Apricot Hill is one of the races I was finishing 2rd in almost every time, never won it. Which really bugs me, with the amount of time I've spent there, but the leader is just too fast, or I'm too slow. I managed to get a win at the other four tracks, but AH continues to elude me.

Are we talking the red bull venturi race?  Remember to switch to racing softs.  It makes the apricot race much easier.

The Vettel events pay very well and yes I did use racing soft tires and SRF.  :)

:laugh Apparently it counts whether you save the pic or not. I'm always taking a pic, looking it over, then deciding it's not good enough to keep. I guess all those have added up quick.

I still haven't bought any gear, must be the AE stuff.

Is there an APEX equivalent for GT6?  Charlie uses it to identify what tracks are best for what drivetrains...  Although I can look at the GT5 APEX book for most tracks, it does not include the "new" ones...

It really helps me in evnet planning...

Since we no longer have Shuffle races, just stick the names of the tracks in one box and the list of cars in another, pull out a name from each hat, and Charlie haz new evnets.

http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gt6/manual/#!/onlinerace/owner

FYI...  PD recommends "fixed" host for best performance.  If you reed thru the above it talks about non-fixed requiring more from the participants in terms of bandwidth and is prone to lag.

@Boston, what NAT are you?  This says NAT3 may have problems with non-fixed hosts, which is how I was running on Sunday.  I will try fixed in the future.  It's how I used to host in GT5...

I have a question about something I noticed in GT5 that I still seem to be having a problem with in GT6, involving the little interval clock thingy that tells how far behind the leader you are or how far in front of the second place car you are.

Back in 5, regardless of whether or not I was in 1rd or 16nd, sometimes it didn't show the interval...didn't matter whether or not I was ahead or behind.

On Tuesday, I noticed something similar in 6 (Tuesday was my first night online).  The difference between 5 and 6 is that in 6, it showed me my interval behind the leader in red on every single occasional, but it NEVER, repeat, NEVER showed the interval when I was in the lead.

Offline works fine, I can see the interval in either red or blue showing the gap.  But online is a different story.  Is this something they've taken out of the game or am I just too stupid to find a toggle to turn it on?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that I'm a NAT 2.

Was I the only one who was having trouble with your room?  I know the countdown clock for the races was a little wonky, but my issue was different.  I was still in free run when the races started, and was never able to make a race.

I reset all my components hoping that would help.  It didn't.

I raced with MGT on Monday and got in a few races at TuTu.  No issues at all that I could notice.   Maybe someone can say if I was lagging or not.  My screen looked good and I never felt contact, but who knows.

I saw the speed test numbers of yours. Could that have been an issue?  I'm at a loss because I have never had trouble connecting with your room.

Click the Online icon, once in there, check the box for Friends Only Rooms.  :)

I was noticing some pretty wacky time splits, during free run. The 1rd sector would be a realistic difference, but the rest of them would have me 5, 10, 30 MINUTES behind the fast time. Now I know I can be pretty slow, but come on, I'm not that bad.  :P
