I would have agreed until I upped my bandwidth...

$50 more buck a month, five times the bandwidth up and down - yet same FUCKING problems.

Even Dude seems to have issues and he trumps us all with bandwidth.

My bet is that the issue is primarily with the PD servers and their increased overhead...

IMHO. YMMV.

I think it's who is connecting to who, not necessarily bandwidth.  I'll say it again, I almost never have connection problems and I have like 1mb down, so...

It just doesn't let me host very many people because I have so little upload bandwidth.

I would have been pleased to keep Prologue and then get monthly or bi-monthly shit to download.  5 was only an improvement because we had more cars and more tracks than Prologue and Sux doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over 5, at least nothing considering the amount of time they had to clean up the problems from 5.

Sux seems to be a step back.

According to Jordan at GTP, we are getting an update by Friday.  I'm expecting a vision GT car.

He hinted at BMW in a post somewhere.

I'd much rather have some of the promised features added, rather than a fantasy car, we can't modify.  :P

Edit: I can't find Jordan's post, but I did run across one Vagabond made, that I forgot about...

I hope so too, considering I've already pointed out the specifics twice myself.

SCEA confirm - update on its way but with no ETA at this point. At least we know it exists, though.

BMW extra content coming within 7 days - nothing to do with update.

Everyone clear on this yet? We don't want a riot next week when no update comes.

Edit 2: Found Jordan's post...

We will be getting something within 7 days. Big car companies love Making the trip to snowy cities in Winter.

The Geneva auto show is this week.

It's been almost 3 months since release and we haven't had any significant updates.  We had one event added but I'd hardly call that progress since we only had 2 special events to start with.  I was expecting slow progress from PD but it still amazes me that they know about their issues with getting content out in a timely manner yet they continue to make the same promises time and time again and keep failing to meet them time and again.  How long can that continue before the franchise collapses?

I would hope that PD is not just planning on releasing a little update with a VGT car... I really hope for ours and their sake, that it is only accompanying a nice new and/or polished feature set.   :-\

I'm sure if any feature is added it will be the much desired return of the museum cards... and yes as per fan demand they cannot be deleted and impact car/item count.  :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P   :D :laugh :lolz

I was racing with Soks last night at Le Sarthe - R&D for this week's Late Show.

Suddenly I became a bit disoriented.  The shadows on the the track looked different in GTsux and I lost my bearings.  The HUD didn't help.  It looked like I was near the Porsche curves but I was at Indianapolis.

Then it hit me...  Epiphany time.

On the HUD my arrow was red and not blue.  Seemed strange because in most games friendies are blue and enemies are red.

I think KY was trying to slip something by us (as KY is want to do).

Eastern wisdom.

YOU are your worst enemy when racing, not the others on the track...

[Cues up Twilight Zone theme]

IMHO. YMMV.

With the way things are going for this game, you'd think it was PD's first one, instead of their sixth.

I reached out to SCEA again tonight, and, unfortunately, they are still unable to provide any comment on the status of a new Vision GT car in Geneva.

I know many of you were probably looking forward to it after my recent suggestive post. To clarify, I had confirmation from two independent and highly trusted sources that a certain car company would be debuting their Vision GT concept today (March 6th), but, clearly, there has been a delay or change of plans. I apologize if I've contributed to the disappointment; plans always seem to be changing behind the scenes.

Of course, the Geneva Auto Show still has more days to come, and the infamous "February update" for GT6 is now yet another week past due, so it feels like something has to happen sooner rather than later. We'll just have wait to see, but I'm now in the dark just as much as the rest of you regarding what's going to happen next.

Between GT6, GTA , etc  ...... promises of new content are constantly being made.  Days go by, weeks go by, months go by .... and everyone sits around waiting and hoping and suffering with an insufficient game to what was hyped.  Then another version comes out, we all drop 60-70.00 on a new disc, whilest once again reading about all these glorious improvements.

Meanwhile the developers retain a base, while rolling in new dollars, and all we get is a game with mediocre improvements.  EX: GT6 is nothing but GT5 with a fancier interface and some basic DLC.  GTA was going backwards by taking things away on every update, and hanging that luscious fruit called heists. V1.11 is the BEST update they've had since launch.  Kudos to them, but without the promised heists ... they par right along with GTSux as R*Sux.

Who are the fools?  Certainly not the developers ... they're rolling in the dollars year after year with nothing but empty promisies to show us, and we bite at it every time.
