Unless my wife surprises me by giving a copy that was pre-ordered, I'm not doing it. I want to start with 'nothing' and build my garage. (Not that I will complain if she gives me GT6 with extras. I'm sure I'd enjoy the cars) That's what Gran Turismo has always been to me...so I hope there are good prize cars and good cash cows this time around.

Still no pre-order cards at Wally World, and I refuse to give gamestop any of my money. I guess I'm winging it for now.

I'd be worried about getting it on day one, and I'm very impatient. I'd just feel better about it, knowing I can walk in some where and get it, instead of depending on somebody else to bring it to me.

 @ ChromeTuna

Don't really think you will need to pre-order to get a copy of GT6! Unless you are wanting some DLC that Wally World gives out with the pre-order.

You're probably right, but hate to take the chance. We'll see.

That Scirocco looks like a fun little race car especially on the Ascari track!  The AI is definitely looking different / better too though it's hard to be sure with all the different cars in those races, but they do seem be acting different from GT5 at least.  And even  given the general quality (camera recording a TV playing a game) that FTO and the C-West Silvia are both "unPremium" cars but they don't look glaring awful next to the Scirocco, it is hard to really see for sure given the recording quality but it should be interesting to see how they've changed too.

So, I have mixed feelings about the AI right now. In every one of these videos, the driver takes off at the start and passes 3 or 4 cars right from the beginning. Why wouldn't the AI also put the hammer down? Then the field gets going and it's much harder to catch them ... good. Finally, I know it's Arcade mode, but there should be some sort of consequence to dive bombing cars in the corner, even in Arcade mode, imho.

If you're going to do an A-Spec race, here is how it should work. You should first have to do two laps to set a qualifying time. That should put you somewhere in the field from front to back based on your time. Then, make the AI race you. They have the advantage of knowing the fastest line and they don't make mistakes. Make it a race.

I really liked the fact that they have a new arrow indicator that tells you when there is a car at three o'clock or nine o'clock. Very simple and clear. Well done.

EHRMAGHHRD!

Sorry - been away folks. Work & writing and all that jazz. Mostly life. Should be able to be back on the track soon.

Now back to the EHMAGHHRD!!!

I have been waiting for the Ferrari 1984 288 GTO since Gran Turismo. Along with the '63 Sting Ray it is my all time favorite car. Every time one of those "what car do you want" lists came up, that was the car I put on the list.

I'm in Vegas for work on December 6th and get back that Sunday. After that it's non-stop craziness until I have both the new Stingray and the 288 GTO.

All this, and Archer starts back up in January? Happy holidaze!
