They've driven me back to iRacing. Hard to believe. I prefer the physics in GT. But we've been waiting for the online features in GT since GT5. The only thing at this point that can bring me back with any enthusiasm is the full featured track editor. Circuit of the Americas comes out on iRacing in a month. Once that happens, GT may lose me for quite a while.

I have no interest in GT7 or the PS4 right now. I don't trust them to sell me a game that has the features in it that they promised.

If PD fixed Camber and stopped forcing traction control on when you drive into grass, I'd never need another game.

Apparently, that is only able to be done on a jail-broken PS3 and the save-file (or whatever necessary for the plebes to do similar things) has not been released yet.

Theoretically, anyone who was able to do such things before on the PS3 with GT5 would be able to do something like this with GT6. So far, this has been contained, but I can only think that PD would love to leave the PS3 behind ASAP.

As for the first part, I was wondering if crack or photoshop.

And as for the second.

Yeah, I probably should have mentioned it was a hack. There's several popping up here and there. One guy has swapped in the RB Jr. engine sound, into a Toyota AE86, and posted a video. I'm not a fan of that car, like most of the drifters are, but having that exhaust sound made it cool.

Here's another....

I'm sure if this was possible in a non-hacked game people would complain. But in my opinion PD should have done something like this instead of the cone challenges.

I wonder if aero and fan are at work on that RedBull, even though technically they wouldn't be IRL...

Per GTplanet v.1.06 is coming April 7th.  It enables the Toyota GPS thingy and maybe other stuff.

(sarcasm) I'm very excited.  I've been dying to ship my Trans Am to Japan and run a real lap around Suzuka and compare it to GT6 using the Toyota GPS thingy... oh wait... yeah.  ::)

They've been less than informative on this "feature", but I have seen references to CAN ECUs. Unless what they are referring to is something different. All cars manufactured after 2008 have had to have CAN ECUs. I found this out, when I had to buy a code reader for my 2006 Mazda, after my old code reader wouldn't work. Mazda started using CAN ECUs in 2006. So the number of cars that this will work on, might be greater than most people think, but I wouldn't be surprised if there will be some kind of additional interface "tool" needed.

Also, this new feature might be a major part of the future GPS track creator thing.  :-\

 Patch notes:

An update for Gran Turismo 6 has been released. The following is a list of the main features introduced:

Data Logger now available
[Data Logger] has been added to the [TOOLS] section in "My Home". The Data Logger analyzes the driving data stored on a Replay file and displays it in a graph, allowing users to view and compare variations in vehicle speed, acceleration points, braking points, engine rpm values and gear positions.

GPS Visualizer function introduced
[GPS Visualizer] has been added to the [TOOLS] section in "My Home". By driving a car equipped with the "Sports Drive Logger" (sold by Toyota) on a real-life circuit, the recorded GPS data can be transferred to “Gran Turismo 6” via a compatible USB storage media, and then subsequently converted into Replay file in the game. It's be possible to compare and analyze these GPS data using the [Data Logger] feature. This feature is currently available with Fuji Speedway, Tsukuba Circuit and Suzuka Circuit, with more tracks to be added later on.

Custom Rear Wing option implemented
[Custom Rear Wing] has been added to the [External Parts] menu, accessible from the [Custom Parts] options within the [Tuning & Maintenance] section in "My Home". You can choose a combination of wing mounts, wing style and side winglets. Users can also adjust the height and width of the wing to their liking. (*Please note this feature isn't compatible with certain cars.)

3DTV compatibility now added
A [3DTV] option has been added to the [Display] category within the [Options] screen in the [MENU] (accessible by pressing the START button). A 3D compatible TV is required for this feature.

Adjustments to the Open Lobby
- From the Member List, it is now possible to see the Performance Points, maximum output and weight of the cars that have joined the room.
- An "Overall Best" time is now displayed on screen while in Practice, Qualifying, Time Trial and Drift Trial.
- The minimum value for [Max Power Limit] and [Minimum Weight] has been changed from 10 to 1.
- The options available in the [Race Type] menu within [Room Settings] of the "Event Settings" screen have been changed.

Other improvements and adjustments
- The Traction Control System (TCS) which is activated when driving off-track is now used only in sand/gravel pits.
- The strength of the "Real" option for the [Slipstream Strength] parameter within [Race Settings] when creating a room in [Open Lobby], has been weakened.

For more details on each of the above features, please refer to the online manual on gran-turismo.com.

I'm scratching my head over this one--was the "real" slipstream stronger than it should have been?

Otherwise, there are a couple slightly interesting changes but largely unimpressive.  I really was hoping for somethign a little more substantial, given the wait.
