The flickering is insane. All I did was one clean lap and I was outta there.

I am not sure how long it will take me to get a feel for Sierra. I did a half assed attempt in the Fiat and seemed to run into walls and hills after only a few corners. I am aware of and have a mapped button for nos. I wouldn't have bothered with a nos button, but it was needed for a crazy Samba evnet.  :laugh

For some reason I have never been a fan of nitrous. It almost seems like I am giving steroids to an engine. If 55 is the max then the only help NOS would bring is to lower my overall time.

Like I said I only mapped a button because of some crazy Samba party.  ^-^

Now that I think about it, I believe it was a wacky Tuneless Tuesday with a fully tuned Samba bus. LOL

Wait hold the bus... did I miss something. Nitrous, jumps, time bonus, has GT become the Arcade Driving Simulator?  ^-^

I did the update, got the new Vision car and after recovering from the seizure caused by the flickering shadows I went back to Minecraft. I guess I should play some more, the online quick race looked promising.  :)

Bozos...

But maybe... just maybe, Quick match is intended for keeping the bozos contained in that area ???

Hopefully those who do open lobbies and have trouble with dirty randoms coming in, will find things a little cleaner...

I'd say it more like this.  They took a good idea from more arcade-style games, and made it more sim-like.  They used it for a specific instructional purpose rather than the main focus of the game, so that's not very arcadey either IMO.

This rally event just reinforces my belief that "chase the rabbit", leaving you out of Online until you pass one of the licenses, and making you start at the back of races, is all part of a planned strategy for instructing the player as they think thye are merely "playing".

I ran the Fiat last night and only managed 1.9 million, even with lots of go juice applied. Some freak on my friends list scored 2.5 million. That's crazy.

Quite the opposite is true. When I think of arcade driving games of my youth this comes to mind. It is about 14 years older. But it had Fuji!

I remember Pole Position, the original Out Run game from back in the mid / late 80s and another one called Super Sprint too as arcade machines.  Cruis'n World is a bit too new for me so I likely never saw it :D.
