I remember Pole Position, the original Out Run game from back in the mid / late 80s and another one called Super Sprint too as arcade machines.  Cruis'n World is a bit too new for me so I likely never saw it :D.

was super sprint the one that had multiple wheels and it was like you were looking down at the cars from overhead?

Do you remember Night Driver?

Night Driver - Arcade (Atari 1976)

Ya stumped me there Dude had not seen that one. Brindle was talking about a home version of pole position that even came with a wheel. I had pole position on an original Atari but no wheel.

Yes!  The Atari 2600 version was my first intro to racing.

 :stoopid:

In my youth a 7-Eleven near my house had Pole Position, I was a regular on that one. Years later, a store/grill close to my house had Outrun. I would order something from the grill, then drop a quarter in Outrun. I did this a lot, and could run all the way to the end, and my food would be ready shortly thereafter. Good Times.

Also some dude made a Super Sprint mod for AC.  He hacked the camera somehow and this is how you actually play it...

I ran the Fiat last night and only managed 1.9 million, even with lots of go juice applied. Some freak on my friends list scored 2.5 million. That's crazy.

Dude I think I have that same person on my friends list! :o

I checked at lunch today there's an even freakier freak now at 2.7 million. Incredible!

I had sound issues online last night. Sometimes no engine sound, no tire sound or none of either. I could strangely hear noise from other cars out on track. This is messed up.

Also had the same problem as Dude, but not as bad. Most of the time for me was no tire sounds!

it is going around, several different things seems to jog the sound back in place however those methods are not always consistent in working

Maybe unrelated, but there is a new system update available. Version 4.65

Its been out for a few days IIRC. It didn't fix the issue of installation errors in GT6 though. I'm tempted to do a PS3 trade since few furs play GT6 and thus wouldn't be affected by that error and the system otherwise works beautifully
