My first thought after skimming through the info was "Meh, another limited use one-off car" butI read a little deeper and found this nugget of info in Chrome's Pitstop blog link..

"Also in this update, tuning and customization parts for the M4 will also be unlocked."

I can't say as I really car that much about the BMW Safety Car (unless they're adding a flags / cautions system) but unlocking the tuning parts for the regular M4 is a good thing in my book!

I doubt we'll see it this generation, but it would be nice to do some virtual runs up Pike's Peak again.

I know, and that's fine too. Good road is good, no matter the surface.

Watch for the 1.14 update. It will have more that the safety car and from what I am led to believe, it should add one of the big missing components.

I am still in Las Vegas for the 2014 GT Awards, so check the PSN for what I have been able to post so far.

I met up with Jordan from GTP and challenged him to a timed lap at the BMW booth which had the GT6 sleds. Kaz unoriginal and a pro driver got to them first and he crashed. Jordan beat me by a second @ Nurburgring/GP.  He had used the Thrustmaster 500 wheel before, but I had to learn under fire. I got to use the wheel later, at the Award show, and it is a very nice wheel. VRX.ca had a triple monitor rig attached to the $55K base model full motion seat and GTR. I was shocked by how stiff the brake pedal was! Wow! Someone broke the steering wheel, so it had no force feedback. Yuck.

1500 cars here, this year. A pretty amazing experience when you consider the amount of work and money that goes into these cars. Truly humbling. However, I finally got to go on a ride in a Mustang with a pro driver. Sony recorded it and will send me the video, soon.

I'll be back home Saturday.

Sounds like a blast MGT, I'm jealous. SEMA is an event I've wanted to attend since I heard of it. It's gearhead heaven. Been trying to get my work to look into going, we do a lot of auto related novelty crap, but I just can't get the higher ups to see it would be a good place for some different business, that we've never done. I'll keep trying.  :D

Well this part makes me more hopeful. Thanks for the link Wiz.

I have no plans to purchase a PS4 until it has GT7 and PCars. By then I hope Fanatec has a PS4 supported wheel rim.

Be nice if these areas would get opened up...
http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/ssrx-alternate-route-found.319561/

that looks really cool!

As some said in that GTP thread, it's hard to tell whether they intended to finish this layout and got derailed, or if it was some coders fucking around on their lunch break.

My theory:  It's a physics test environment and nothing more.  Used to test what happens to cars in extreme situations, and because it showcases some innacuracies in PD's model, they didn't release it.

Hopefully they do, now that it's "out".

Not sure if there's any new info in here - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-11-05-whats-the-deal-with-ps4-and-xbox-one-steering-wheels

One paragraph in that whole article really shines a light onto the security chip BULLSHIT!

"The T-500 obviously doesn't have a security chip.  So how does it work with Drive Club when other manufacture's PS3 wheels do not???  Unfortunately Thrustmaster declined our request for an interview."

What gives Sony?

What gives Sony?  You money grubbing pieces of shit!

The T500 is not fully functional though. It operates when in game, but not outside of it. And even in game I think you need a controller to navigate menus.

This would actually be a great opportunity for PD and other companies to give us a little bit of history in their games.  THere is no conceivable reason why they (PD,SMS,Kunos, whoever) cannot create a fully paved version, a fully dirt version, and a half/half version as it was for so many years until very recently when the last bits of dirt were paved over.
