Dear Corner 11,

FUCK OFF.

You're the only reason I can't get into the 15's.

regards,

Wiz

Uhh... you're gonna have to be more specific... I lose count after "Corner 1" because how many corners does Eau Rouge count as and this course is so long?  :D

T11 of course.

There are suggestions out there. For example this from outlaw4rc says.

"Bruxelles - You can attack Bruxelles either by braking at the start of the strips on the left or a little later than that. Honestly, this is a corner where I just can't get any trailbrake action going without slide the nose. Therefore, I attack it as a double apex. Aim for the first cone, let the car drift out a little and then aim back inside. Don't hold 2nd too long, though. Get to 3rd and straighten out that wheel. You want the car under control for the next piece.

T11 - The curbs on the right are not your friend. You can use a little bit of it but in my experience, any more than that and it makes any sort of consistency all but impossible. I really don't have a good braking references but I will say that I like jumping into 4th and right after, brake and downshift. Turn in right after that. If that cone gives you trouble, you'll have to delay your turn a bit more but it also means more aggressiveness on the gas. Upshift to 4th early if you're uncomfortable with oversteer."

I read something else about turning on Flicker Reduction (aka vsync) in the game if you are having trouble with input lag.

yea, the exit to 10 and the execution of 11 there are very difficult about 75% of the time.  When those go well for me, it's the next few esses that end up screwing it up.  I get that sensation of worry when I see that I am several tenths ahead of my ghost, and keeping right up with Tguns, Wiz, and co.  Think about that for a split second, and your steering inputs get jerky, you brake slightly off, and cone, boundary, or just plain slowness kicks in.

ughhh...

have taken a day off, so maybe tonight will be the night for a major improvement.  Don't be surprised if you see me jump ahead by .7 - 1.0 in one day.

Did anyone else feel like this final stage is one of (if not the) easiest on which to get a Gold time?  Cleared the Gold time limit easily on my first clean lap.  Spent around 45 min total on this one and napped a high 2:18.8xx on my 3rd of 4 clean laps.  Not bad but I know there's a lot of time left.

We have some fast fellas here!  My goal (time permitting) is to make the top ten list of my friends!

I've been so sick,  I haven't been able to do anything.  I think I've turned only 4 or 5 laps on this round.  Looks like next year.

Well done guys.  Great times.  You should all be proud of how well you did.

Good job Wiz. I ran again last night but was stuck with 16.7 - 16.9. I had moments where I felt I could better my 16.445, but it never came together for a full lap. I still think I can get lower though, and it is the weekend. I'd like to finish in the top 20 in Canada.

I think my 2:17.361 is all I've got. I had a lap going that was .45 up on that time, but ran 3 inches too wide around that last sweeping left hander. Fuck it.

never could quite catch ya Wizard.  Great time!

here is my final:

205st  2:16.954

Glad I made it into the 16's but would have loved to make it to the low 16's.  Had a few runs on my first sector that showed me I do have what it takes to be with the top dogs, so just that glimmer of hope is fine with me :P

Congrats to everyone who met goals, improved their outlook on racing or just plain old had fun this time around!

ANd thanks to wiz for putting up the leaderboards at two forums and maintaining them!
