Sport Compact Cup, coming soon on Wednesday nights!

Time for a series featuring short tracks, multiple race heats, low grip tires and just enough horsepower to make things interesting.  This series will feature two lightweight rear wheel drive sports cars.  Pick your steed:  Either the iconic S2000 or one of the triplets - Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86 GT, Scion FRS.  Tuning will be kept to a minimum to focus on driving ability.  See below

-10 minute qualifier for race 1

Event 4 – Apricot Hill
Event 5 – Nurburgring GP/D
Event 6 – Laguna Seca


Scoring
Points awarded for each night will be determined by final position in both races

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

In the case of a dead heat for a championship place then the driver with the higher number of superior race results will be awarded the place.

False Start Penalty – on
Disconnects during a race will be treated as a mechanical failure. 
DNF’s will be awarded the last running order points. (10 in a race, you get 10th place points)
If more than one disconnect occurs, points will be given in the order of disconnect.

Events will be held weekly at 9:00 PM EST.  Room open at 9, Qualifying at 9:20, Race #1 start at 9:30.

Looks like another great series in the making, Dawson.

I bought both cars:  S2000 '06, and Toyota 86 GT '12.  Oil change, spec parts installed.  No chassis upgrade.  No change to other components: the Brakes, Clutch/Flywheel, Drive Shaft are stock.

Ran both cars on all the tracks listed.  In general, I found the Honda oversteers a lot more than the Toyota, and can be a handful on Cote D’Azur (the Toyota is so well planted).  I personally like the S2000 due to this characteristics.

I agree Numb, S2000 definitely oversteers more.  Depending on the driver that can be an advantage or disadvantage.

Nothing set yet, but the date I had in mind is 3/11.

I should be able to make this!  I'll most likely be in one of the Toyubarion clone cars, also I notice in one pic you have the cars with the blank number panels on them so are we supposed to add a driver number?
