If this thing is really going to be around $200, I might pick one up. With the way they have pretty much screwed controller users on ps4, a wheel is almost a requirement.

Sucks, because it takes out the convinence of just plopping down on the couch, and running some races.

You could go wheel stand route. Something like this.

I have an earlier version of one of those.  I've been using it for over 6 years and it is still going strong although I would like to replace it with a real cockpit.

I'm surprised they didn't go belt drive.  :-\

I agree but then again it was the gear noise that finally drove me away from my old G27.

It seems like odd sales hype. Today a couple of small brushless motors, pulleys and belts make for an awesome design. A different wheel on a G27 package it what this looks like. The price is all that can redeem it.

Belt drive?  Direct drive is all the rage these days.

But ya, it looks like this is just a cheap attempt at cashing in on the PS4 wheel market.

If the attempt is cheap enough, I might go for it.  :)

Direct drive wheels are a couple grand or more though. I was referring more to what might be in it's price range.

$450 for the G29.   :o

Plus $75 more for the shifter.

Best comment I've seen...   "So Logitech finally decides to get back into the console market, only to price themselves right back out of it."

We should know the true price next week at E3.  I've seen #'s ranging from $200 to now this $450.
Honestly, $450 is waaaaaaaaay to much to charge for this wheel.  It's a fucking G27 that had  some plastic surgery for crying out loud.
I'm still very interested in this wheel though.  I know it's using dated tech but if it offers the reliability of previous G series wheels, then it should be a solid piece for years to come.

I still contend that gear noise is aggravating in best situations but is unacceptable entirely in others such as round 4 of GT Academy or rallying courses or if you share your driving space with someone else. If your rig is in a common area of your house like mine was when I had my G27 you feel guilty when you run rally events that everyone else has to tolerate the noise generated by your hobby.

About the price range if the noise wont bother you then up to $250 is the most I can see this setup being worth and that would be including the shifter. If Logitech asks more than that I would start weighing other options.

I say this having owned four different wheels now. Not claiming I am close to any sort of professional reviewer but I do have some hours put in to all of this.

Ars is reporting that only the xbox version will get the shifter and that the PS4 version will be PS4 only and not PC.  Really strange if it is actually true: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/06/logitech-g29-and-g920-racing-wheels-coming-to-ps4-and-xbox-one/#p3

Really strange if it is actually true:

It isn't.   Logi already cleared that up and both will be compatible with PC.
