Fanatec CSR w/ CSR Elite pedals is still the best deal on the market IMO.

Seems like Logitech are on similar drugs to Saitek / MadCatz!  The new Farming Simulator custom wheel just went up for preorder:

http://store.madcatz.com/categories/farm-sim/Saitek-Farming-Simulator-Wheel-Pedals-and-Vehicle-Side-Panel-Bundle-for-PC-and-Mac.html

Honestly I was kind of interested in it, then I saw the $300 price tag, doesn't even seem like it has any kind of force feedback beyond being "center sprung".  Granted it's for a farming game but still, at that price I'd like something!

Haha Feldynn that's awesome!

I've had my G25 for almost 10 years. Knock on wood it's still working and I'll keep using it until I can no longer.

That plus the CSR shifters yes two of them, one is sequential the other is H pattern and the total for all 4 pieces would still only come to $405 plus the Elite pedals are a load cell brake pedal unlike the Logi offerings. So cheaper more specialized parts wise and a load cell why would anyone buy the G29 is something I fail to understand.

I still contend that gear noise is aggravating in best situations

Until this G25, I always bought cheap Logitech wheels and played away from the rest of the family. With full cup headphones, I never noticed, although I have heard other people on-line turn their wheels. Wasn't a big deal, in the long run.

Go without the earphones in a room shared with someone else and do one of the rally tracks the gear noise is a bit too much for me in that situation.
