Car: Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex (AE86 Shuichi Shigeno Version) '00

Stock. Wheels/paint/oil change allowed.

Restrictions
Tuning: Prohibited
Tires: Sport Hard
Lounge: Public Lounge
Opening Track: Madrid. Short tracks thereafter

What's the Connection?
This is a roundabout one, so pay attention. It is Cinco de Mayo. The easy thing to do here would've been to run a Mexican car. But we don't have any of those. The Lotus Elise kinda resembles the Mastretta MXT, but we'll be running a Lotus next week or the week after. We could've run the lone Spanish car in the game, but that's too easy. I found a Mexican game show called Vas o No Vas which is essentially Deal or No Deal (Go or No Go). Obviously, the 1970 Nova SS would've been perfect but TuTu has already used that car and it wasn't fantastic (low gearing). Sooo... the final generation of the Nova was actually a mildly-restyled Corolla-based car that was sold in Japan as the... drumroll, Toyota Sprinter. So, it should make perfect Tuna sense that the go-to car for Cinco de Mayo is Japanese.
