Great race by Grosjean.  Brilliant drive by Vettel after a very poor start.

I like Webber and I was kind of hoping he could pull off a win in this race.  But to suggest that the team got his strategy wrong comes off as sour grapes.  Webber was the one who let Grosjean get ahead of him at the start.  Webber couldn't repass him.  After Grosjean pitted, Webber had the opportunity to run in free air and open up a gap and didn't take advantage of it.  The team put Vettel on hard tires behind Grosjean (who was running hard tires) and he quickly caught up and passed Grosjean.  The team put Webber on the faster medium tires just behind Grosjean and it took him forever to make the pass.  Webber just doesn't have the pace that Vettel has.  Even if Red Bull purposefully tried to keep Mark out of Seb's way, can you blame them?

I have no problem with the outcome, but I think it may have been different if Mark was on a two stop also. I can't fault the team for wanting to secure Seb's WDC.

Free F1 timing for Android

Some people miss things put into the comments, so I thought it worthwhile to post this information from TJ13 reader ‘Clear View’

Off topic slightly, but of anyone has an android phone, go to Google play store and search “F1LT” this app gives you free live timing for all sessions in a race weekend from FP1 on Friday, to the end of the race on Sunday.

It’s got driver tracker on the circuit, also you can choose which driver you want all the times to be compared to. All you need is a Formula1.com user name and password, which is free to register by the way and you use this password and the email address that goes with it to log in through this app and Bob’s ya uncle, free live timing.

I like it because you can see who is on a charge during the race and setting personal best times etc. The app is free to download and you can put a delay on it as it is in real time and the TV is often 5-7 seconds behind so you can adjust it so when the TV feed shows a car going over the timing line that what you see on the tracker and timing screen.

Great app guys, well worth a look, not sure if you can get it on IPhone, but I’m not payin 20quid for the official app. I have got sky F1 but my TV screen is too small to read the timing screen on the red button and have the live pictures too.

(Not available for IPhone it appears)

Allegations made against Ecclestone
by Sniff Petrol on Wednesday, October 30th, 2013

The High Court this week heard allegations that, in his attempts to stay in charge of F1 during the sale of the Formula One Group, Bernie Ecclestone made a “corrupt agreement”.

One of the first of many to express shock at this allegation was a bear; ‘I’m frankly staggered at this news,’ the large ursine creature said whilst extruding some faeces in an area of densely tree-covered land.

There was equal amazement in Rome as Pope Francis himself confessed to being ‘absolutely stunned’ by the claims whilst repeatedly crossing himself surrounded by crucifixes, incense and Bibles.

News of the allegations made against Ecclestone even reached as far afield as Tennessee in the United States, where Sniff Petrol spoke exclusively to singer Dolly Parton. ‘I simply can’t believe someone would say such a thing about Bernie,’ the country superstar gasped. ‘Sorry if I sound sleepy honey,’ she added. ‘I just woke up and my view is entirely of my ceiling.’

The High Court battle continues with Ecclestone’s legal team now strongly rejecting claims that the F1 supremo is ‘small’ and has ‘a ridiculous hairstyle’.

1.6 liter V6 turbo with ERS, only 100kg of fuel max per race, 8 speed gearbox, but only one set of gears all season. Should be interesting.

The double points at the last race is total bullshit though.  >:(
