Thankfully, following yesterday's disappointment, when problems within almost every garage meant limited running, today has been a little better.
As previously reported, following overnight rain it was decided to make today a 'wet day' with all the focus being on wet weather testing. As a result, shortly before the start of today's action the track was artificially soaked in order to allow the teams and Pirelli to try the new wet rubber.
After yesterday's 'no-show', McLaren has been in action today, and going into the lunch break Jenson Button topped the timesheets.
On the other hand an engine problem has seen Daniil Kvyat side-lined all morning, while at Caterham Marcus Ericsson, who completed just one lap yesterday, has managed the same mileage this morning.
Despite a few offs, the only red flag came when Esteban Gutierrez got stuck in the kitty litter at Turn 6.

Bad news for Renault powered teams.

Whilst each of the Renault customer teams have worries of their own which do not relate to the engine, TJ13 has discovered that the French F1 engine manufacturer now requires around 20 weeks to rectify the problems they are currently experiencing. This takes us up to the British Grand Prix.

I love Formula 1 I really do.  I've been watching it and have been a fan of it since I was 5 or 6 years old [it's all my dad's fault. lol]  but after moving to the states from the UK a year ago I have to say that the coverage you lot get on NBC is fucking awful! especially when I compare it to the coverage I used to get back home.  Over here there's way too many commercials during the race which forces you sometimes to miss key moments during a race, NBC also has piss poor commentary.  It seems like they're not even watching the race sometimes and they always seem to talk about "the good 'ol days of racing".

The only good thing about NBC's coverage is the pit lane reporter Will Buxton, he's great and know's what he's talking about.  But until they change their commentary team I won't be watching and more F1.  I'll just read about it and imagine the races instead! lol.

Anyway, rant about crappy F1 coverage over!  Thank you for listening.  You can go about your normal business now! lol
