I am familiar with the official www.formula1.com site, but I like www.planetf1.com better. Of course the live timing is only at the official site.

Yeah, they clamp down pretty hard on anyone else trying to broadcast anything. However i did like the app for live timing they came out with, it worked....decently well enough lol. i forgot about planetf1.com.

It was goos to see Lotus back on track and performing well after their earlier suspension issues. Anyone have any thoughts on Ferrari? They just look "meh" with all their testing. I wonder how they will fare once the show starts.

Here's what they say about Ferrari.

Ferrari made the decision on Saturday to cancel the drivers' post-test briefings to the press, much to the collective disappointment of the Italian and Spanish media. It also heightened speculation that things weren't going too well at the Scuderia. Reports from observers around the Circuit de Catalunya concluded that through a stint the new F2012 behaved very differently - at first understeering and then developing oversteer. It was fast, but it was unpredictable. In comparison the McLaren, Red Bull and Force India were consistent through the same corners.

Ferrari technical director Pat Fry admitted that it was unlikely they'd see the podium in Australia.

The BBC's Gary Anderson can't understand the design logic for the Ferrari F2012 pull-rod suspension. "With a more traditional push-rod design, you can tune it to change the weight transfer across the car depending on whether it's in low- or high-speed corners. The pull-rod doesn't have that facility - the only advantage seems to be that it might integrate with the airflow off the front wing a bit better. But that's a gnat's difference compared to losing something more influential."

Eleven days and twelve hours to go.

I just want to see 3 or 4 (or more) teams able to compete closely this season.

Getting excited here.

I agree, i want to see some more competition (and historically after teams go back to back, there are very close and competitive seasons to follow) I can see Mercedes getting a win in there, and Lotus look very racey as well. i think it will be mostly RedBull/McLaren dominated with a few others picking up the scraps.

More competition but not from Ferrari.  Anybody but Alonso.  I always hope for Senna to do well partly because of the work he put into Ferrari Challenge.

i agree 100%, i can't stand alonso either. i think senna will be solid, but not surprising. Williams is a solid middle ground team, and not much more.
