Just a "Heads Up" since this last up-date (2.03).  A lot of crap has been happening in the lounges....i.e., Disco'ing ( No, NOT Dancing), Locking up/freezing, etc.  Even the Headsets are getting issues that weren't there prior to the 2.03 update.

DO KEEP a GAME SAVE current.  I got disco'ed the other night and was bounced right out of the PS3....Sucker shut down, Beeped 3 times and turned off.....scared the shit out of me, I though I was getting a YLOD ( Shut up).  When I started it up again, I went to load GT5 and my game save was whacked....Had to re-load my backup. 

I have been disco'ed more times since the 2.03 update that ever before.  I have lost game data (tuning charts reset), My Car Thumbnails got whacked and I had to re create them - That was 2 FUCKING hours.

Just urging that caution be taken to protect the game save each of you have worked so hard to develop.

I just lost a shit load of thumbnails on Tuesday night. I was in a lounge with one other racer, all was fine until we left. I hit exit button and then it hung up. I have had these types of things happen before in GT5 so I was not concerned. When I went to restart it stated there was no game save found, but it found a prior save to use or I could restart the game new. I used the use the prior game save and it all seemed okay. Well low and behold all is not okay, I lost all kinds of thumbnails somehow. When I exited I used the soft off (old ps3), but I guess I should have just used the switch on the back. I have used that many times in the past and all it does it get pissed and have to rebuild itself.

This games glitches and the fact we get all kinds of crap only to have to delete said crap is goos crap.

Also, I have spent the last 2 hours trying to go through my over 1000 cars trying to re thumbnail them. The other option is create thumbnails for ALL Cars. I do not need all cars, just the ones with out thumbnails please.

When GT5 craps out and just hangs, try removing the disc before actually resetting or powering the hardware down. When you take the disc out it doesn't seem to harm anything, but it unfreezes the game.

I'm not sure how relevant it is, particularly in the PS world, but ASCII code had all capital letters in order, followed by lower case letters, so ordered by those codes, it would make sense.

Correct. A letter on-screen is not a letter. It is just a number represented on-screen by a letter. Computers are just 0 & 1 number machines, more or less.

GT5 has several sorting anomalies...  On only has to sort paints to see.  Weird shit happens there. I've had the same paint (mfg/color) show in top "unsorted" and sorted in as should be down the page.

I've noticed paint I receive as a gift will not sort when I select a sorting option.

My main problem with the paint sorting, is you end up with more than one stock pile of the same chip. I have two Chrome supplies, both have many chips in them, but it doesn't matter which one you pull from, only one "supply" decreases in count. And it's not necessarily the one you pulled from.

When I had to delete items, like suits and hats. Some items even though they showed zero count were still there until deleted again.
