We know the modeling for most if not all these tracks already exist from previous versions. I imagine it's quite a task to bring them up to GT5 standards, but I think this suggests there are plans to expand the track listings in the future. GT6 strikes me as the likely candidate, although the might offer a new track or two for 'mo5 to keep it fresh.

I believe Midfield was marked as a major oversight in 5, and Infineon has always been a favorite of mine along with the Motegi Ring. Didn't Las Vegas serve as a drag strip? Charlie would love that.

I don't understand why Belgium has been snubbed. Maybe Kaz has never been there.

For me personally I would love to see Midfield, El Capitan, Seattle, Apricot Hill, Infineon and Motegi.  Then some of the rest of the city courses.  I know a lot of you guys get into the rally stuff and even I would like an updated Tahiti Maze.

I would agree Ucan that GT6 would seem most likely for most of these, but at least one is already out there, El Capitan.
Also if for 6, then why upload them (just the logos) this past Jan. and March of this year to the  Remote Racing section of the official GT5 “My Home” website.  That seems an odd thing to do if these tracks won't be out till GT6.
Yup, pure speculation... but seriously not much else to do, so why not?  ^-^

We have two great racing tracks. Zolder and Spa-Francorchamps. Both are in my opinion way nicer tracks than many of the ones GT5 has to offer. I can understand if people never heard of Zolder before, but Spa has been part of the F1 GP since 1950.
Oh, what I'd give to take my midget for a lap around the 7 km of Spa...

The thing I looked forward to most in GT5 was taking a Z06 at full blast through Eau Rouge... but then they released the Official Track List. And I was sad.

Eau Rouge / Raidillon flat out and then see how fast you can go on the Kemmel straight. Yeah.

If I hadn't injured my knee, I would have picked up Shift 2 as well. It's got all the cars I'd like to have (GT5 lacks quite a few, and of those that it does have most are standards). It's got all tracks I'd like to drive (Including both Spa and Zolder). It's got 35 DIFFERENT tracks, and that's not counting the variations.

While a 1000 cars in a game is pretty impressive, finding out that there's 30 nearly identical mazda's and a dozen or two identical nissans was a bummer. PD should have considered the saying "less is more" and instead of throwing a 1000 cars at us, bringing us a carefully selected bunch of cars in premium state.

The only reason not to buy shift, is that it's an EA game.

Man, I'd like to race Gar and Spec on Silverstone ... in person if possible ... virtually otherwise.    :)

Ooh.  Don't know if this has been posted but...  I learned from Ronin, that there is a glitch in the game, where the default track set by your lounge settings will not allow the tires to warm up.  It can be fixed in 2 ways.  1 don't set the track your going to race as default.  2 simply change tracks, then change right back and problem solved.

Just FYI

Never noticed a problem in my lounge.  Tires warm up in free-run or race...

Same here. It was mentioned during the last TuTu, as we were in my lounge running the default track, and the tires behaved normally.  :-\

I have never seen this issue in my lounge, but I did notice it the night Ronin mentioned it. Changing tracks sorted it out quick enough.
