Here's the Route X video making the rounds, apparently playable at Tokyo Auto Salon.

東京オートサロン 2012 Gran Turismo 5 - Route X Demo Run

Somewhat inspired to pay $4 for that now.  Probably not inspired enough to actually go buy a PSN card.

Good thing he had the driving line on.

Wowzers...

http://www.gtplanet.net/complex-gt5-bug-causes-problems-for-online-racers/

This doesn't necessarily help the issue of lagging, but it will help load times and other stuff:

CLEAR SYSTEM CACHE

This may help some problems, but obviously is not a fix for all. Seems we all forget to do this periodically.

Several times yesterday, my BT headset (fully charged) dropped out in a private lobby and I had to completely back out of the game, turn off the PS3 and restart before the issue would be resolved.  I was not the only one that had this problem. We switched lobbies, headsets, etc., and nothing worked shy of completely shutting down and restarting the PS3.  This can become time consuming and annoying  - especially if you are in shuffle races (Private lounge, not public).  And yes I know about the "shuffle race" issue, but this was the "Tuna Shuffle" races........................................................wait for it.....................................................:

Anybody else having trouble loading replays lately?  I'd say 1 out of every 3 or 4 times I try to load a replay, the progress bar takes forever to fully load and then once it's full, it just hangs forever and I have to quit the game.  I thought it was perhaps because I had a shitload of replays saved so I went through and deleted a bunch of them.  It didn't help.

It's really FUCKING annoying.

Yes, it's a major contributor to my not having produced many pictures of late, By the time it loads I just don't want to sit and watch replays. Ironically I thought it was related to my recently having deleted some 200 replays.

This is one I have somewhat known about, it's related to some lounges being faster than others. I just did not realize it went to that extent.

3 is a magic number, errrrrrrr, 12 I mean. 12.   I'm happy to see people testing the theory out.  We knew something was effed up, just didn't know how bad it was.

The North American PSN Store should be updated by about 7pm PST at the latest (every Tuesday) if I remember the official announcements right, usually I'd expect it to be there around noon though.

Why Sony can't set their Store servers to automagically update at Midnight PST each week is beyond me.. I mean, in the words of the great Prophet Jeremiah Clarksonius "How hard can it be?" :).

It's possible to get on Route X in someone elses room without buying it.  Pretty neat track really, for what it is.  24h time change but no weather.

Well I found a HUGE issue with the new DLC, and in fact all the purchased DLC cars that can be brought from Dealerships, they cannot be sold / deleted.  So the DLC ticket gave me a plain white mini, I checked the dealer and brought a nice blue / white stripes one (did similar with the Beetle) then went back to my garage to sell the original one..

   !!!ERROR!!!
"This car cannot be sold"

What?!  So I can buy a DLC car from the dealership but then have no way of selling / destroying it, ok now I get not being allowed to remove the special 1-time DLC cars (Stealth cars, promo gift cars, etc) but there really should be a way to remove cars that can simply be repurchased from a Dealership.

Now I'm stuck with two duplicate cars that can't be removed, yet another "so obvious it got missed" bug ::).

I purchased a Mini in Blue with white strips from the dealer too.

Some cars that were won in A spec events were that way too. Could not be sold or traded. I seem to recall when trying to sell it, there was an option of making it just disappear.

Right, it's usually "This car cannot be sold, would you like to remove it from your garage?" for those cars (I think it's anything worth over about 500k cr.) but with the DLC cars there is no option to remove / destroy them :(.

On a side note I ran an accel. test on my pimped out yellow 'Cuda, it pulled a 10.5 second 1/4 mile time with no special drag tuning :), Wizard / Brindlefukflyspit may have to put up another section in the Bench Board section if that starts to get popular hehe.
