I can't drive any of those X cars. It took me 4 attempts just to get through the chicane when the damn TT starts. Then I couldn't get past turn 1, so I said :fuck it.

I don't see how anybody drives them things, absolutely no fun for me.  >:(

Got a 2:19.309.

Doubt I'll go back.  It wasn't nearly as fun as I remember.

Too many red :fucking laps.  :P

Nice run Turbo!  :)

There are places you have to be real careful about penalties. The chicanes on the big straight, the slow left after the back straight and the fast right (Indy?), it's not clear where the boundaries really are, especially at those speeds, and the last 2 chicanes. I think my problem was that the car turned in too fast if I wasn't real careful.

My lap was 337 in world, including the cheaters.

At these speeds, I found that, if I thought of the car as an aeroplane, I have to think of the flow of the track more. I never drove an X car before and didn't find it all that difficult once I started flying the car.
You also have to focus more into the distance and be more conscientious of what corner you are approaching is like and how you are going to get a good exit. Eventually, you will hit a wall and level out your progress, though. That took about 10 laps, for me.

Definitely a challenge, but at least the car isn't skating all over the place, the way a lot of slower cars do. Lower the steering wheel resistance, for quicker steering, and use the roof cam, for a better near view.

turn-in is of paramount importance on the x cars too... do it a littler sooner than yhou think in many cases...  and many of those cases, don't require full lift of right foot ;)

I'll probably just keep a respectable time and position and not take this one too seriously, but I had to give it a try.

This is an expert level race event for high power American super sportscars. Cars can be tuned up to 580PP and tires are limited to Sports/Hard or less. A "Performance Point Bonus" is awarded for cars participating with a low PP. For example, winning with a 540PP car in this race will roughly double the reward.

Ace'd this with the "Edge" Camaro SS...dropped the points to 540.  Still had fun.  The Edge Camaro really rocks.

580PP Stars & Stripes:

If you want a challenge, try using the 2014 Corvette Prototype. You can't buy any parts for it, so you have to run it stock (532pp). I tried it at Grand Valley a couple times, but the rabbit just gets to big of a lead for me to catch. A faster guy might could do it. My 1th attempt got me to 2rd place, 11 seconds behind the rabbit, 2th attempt got me to 3nd, as there were 2 rabbits in that race, but I finished only 8 seconds back. The 2 rabbits were Ford GTs, and were only .6 apart at the line.

I also noticed something strange about the rabbit's lap times. "He" and I were running similar lap times, although mine were a tad faster in the '14 Vette, except the 1rd lap. "He" ran a low 1:57 on lap 1, then ran high 2:06 - low 07s the rest of the race. My 1th lap was a 2:08, because of the slow rolling start, but the rabbit runs his quickest lap by 9 seconds.  ^-^

Wound up using the Challenger SRT8 in a couple races, and the '10 Camaro in the rest.

So last night I was pootling around on my other account buying some 0 mile OCD cars and doing some old non-SRF seasonals for quick cash and decided to run through the latest TTs / DTs using the DS3 controller.  Anyway long story short I remember why I aboslutely hate those stupid X1 cars, took me probably 10 tries just to get the start line, no no not the start / finish line at the end of the lap.. the start line, to begin the timed lap!  Only ever completed one good lap, could easily have run faster but the stupid thing is so hideously frustrating I just gave up :).

If you enter and exit you can get a different line up of cars and hopefully no Ford GT's.

Also, the lead car is probably a third of the way through the lap when you hit the starting line. It makes it really hard to make up that deficit.

HOLY SHIT I tried that Ferrari @ Spa challenge last night, and guess what?

It's on full rain and with 100% surface water!!!

completing a shitty lap with a bad spin got me 3,000rd place or something.  then got a better lap with no major mishaps and it was down into the 1000s

I'd imagine most people will gold and dash on this one, because it is so frustrating.

So actually that gives anyone who sticks with it a better chance of placing rather hgih on the rankings...
