Cool. I guess it would be best to use a chat lounge/room thing like we used to. Just to make it easy to give it a few tries.

We just need to pick a night "soon" then.  :)

also part of the GSX Refusal group, tried my 2000GT, bit short on pp and 2 sec off gold. BRZ got it done. I do not own any NASCARs so won't be doing that one

I am pretty sure timing won't work in GT6 the same way it did in GT5, at least so far it hasn't. However, given enough tries, you can have one person stay in a lobby and everyone try to find the same lobby. That has worked a number of times, but it takes time.. Once in a lobby, you stay there.

Since the game now knows where your friends are, I have requested that PDI add a way to go directly to the same lobby friends are in, the same way you can do that in other parts of the "community" system.

If you want a half-decent challenge for the Seasonal, use the NISMO GT-R LM road car, with tuning. I struggled to get everything right and just barely beat the Gold time by less than half a second. It's a rear-wheel drive car and I would like to also see how a 4WD car performs. I didn't try it first because I thought it might have too much understeer. Am I wrong?

Anyone have advice for the European Hot Hatch race?  I haven't tried using anything heavily modified and tuned there, but I'm getting curb stomped using the AWD Golf R set at 449PP.

If you find one set of AI is really tough (losing by 10-11 seconds?), then exit and get a different set.

This is what I wrote elsewhere:

"I used the FF Megane RS and you must take care to not lose grip with the front tires. Also, your driving line through the chicane will make a big difference. Brake early, don't lose grip.

So, after doing the FF car, I used the Clio V6 (Lutecia, Japanese version in a European event... just to prove a point) and got a different set of AI cars. The first time through, I lost in 5th place. After a slight change in tune and being more accustomed to the car, I took first with a 5 second lead (8'58.4). Drifted nicely, though."

I used the premium MR Clio without any trouble. Toughest races were against the same Clio and the BMW 330

I managed it on the first try with a lightly tuned (a few fixed parts and LSD) Audi S3, didn't think I'd catch 1st though as I made a few mistakes and was behind but fortunately he drove straight into the wall at the final hairpin on the last lap and I caught up a good bunch.  Kicker was the 1st place car was the BMW 135i Coupe, not really a Hot Hatch in my opinion.

If you're having trouble don't forget you can always cheese it and use something like the Lotus Elise or any car from the appropriate countries at the PP spec, my "Eligible Car" from the Garage offered the TVR V8S and Jaguar XK Luxury cars which are definitely NOT hatchbacks :).

Hah, that's funny!

Yeah I've tried several times, with the Megane and Golf R.  Lost badly both times, though I thought I was driving better with the Golf (which has a horrible stock AWD system - front wheel spin much?).  Guess I'll shuffle till I get a easier AI leader.
