Ah-hem, back to the seasonal events...

In the Compact Car/Tokyo event, try using a stock '96 Elise with power adjusted to 400-405PP.
You will need to do some suspension tuning with what they give you, to stop spinning.

At ShoSho, we found going one grade harder on the front tires tamed this car nicely.

OK, but I just happened to accidentally enter the new series with the car that was loaded. I had no idea what it even was until the race started. Even at that, it was already at 450PP, so I had to reduce it as the engine wore in. Otherwise, I ran it stock.

A little suspension adjustment and it got better. I'm not sure I did the right thing with the brake balance because the front still gets real squirrelly, esp when releasing the brakes.

I haven't driven any of the Elises really, but for other MR cars I've found that higher Front and lower Rear brake power tends to work well (I usually set mine to 7-Front and 3-Rear if the front end is getting wobbly under braking).

I spent a little time doing the Drift Trials yesterday before ShoSho, and let me tell you, it's a lot easy if you have something with 6-700hp. Both tracks require you to sustain at least one long drift, and it helps to have a bunch of power. I managed get get ranked at 125rd on one of them, can't remember which one, as I ran both on 2 accounts. 

Make sure you guys run those and the TT's, it's 4 million total for all 4. (1 time only)

I used the VW Golf IV GTI (RM) '01....was very nice and stable...spanked the field at 450PP.  And YES the IDIOTS are at it again...The NASCAR Time Trial Race at Suzuka East is won easily enough with a stock Nascar vehicle ( I scored a 51.013 - and I'm 3,999nd place - WAT?), so a whole bunch of ASSHOLES found a glitch.......FUCKERS.  I'm looking at the times and saying, "18.431 for a lap time? What the FUCK ?"

Eh, Kids - whadayagonnado?   Don't get me wrong, I Like children - when properly cooked.

I may go back and try the drift trials with a better car, I did both with my Lexus IS200 GT-1 Race Car @ 383hp.  I think I got into the top 1000 on both but it sounds like it'd be a lot easier with a more powerful car :).

Speaking of the Compact Car race, I've so far run 4 cars through at around 380-400pp.  Lancia Delta Integrale, VW Polo GTi, Vauxhall Tigra and Corsa, all really fun little cars (well the Delta isn't "that" little but it qualifies lol) and I plan on running many more through that fit.  May be worth making an evnet for the smaller stuff one of these days as there's a pretty wide variety.
