Well............PD has yet again FUCK ed up!   Seems that one can no longer win suits or helmets at the online evnets.  Only paint fucking chips and effing horns are available for now.

Notice.......No Announcements......Just........WTF!? Where did the suits and helmets go?

PD is REALLY starting to PISS me off with their cheap-ass antics.

New PD Slogan:  "If we give you something, we must take away something.  We must no be too generous".

There is simply no rhyme or reason for this BULLSHIT! Hey, PD:  :fyou

Someone over at GTPlanet thought that this might because events were accidentally giving out DLC helmets and suits for free.

Someone over at GTPlanet thought that this might because events were accidentally giving out DLC helmets and suits for free.

I expect that's the case, since some of the DLC suits (and I assume helmets too) are just the basic ones like we already have I'm guessing there's been some kind of hiccup / cockup / :fuck up with the programming and they were unlocked or included as rewards for the Seasonals when they shouldn't have been.  Since the WRC / Nascar ones are the combo costume and not separate suit / helmet they were probably out there too, but we had no way of winning that style of clothing as a prize so we simply didn't see them.

To me it's just another program bug, perhaps they were trying to rush stuff through and it wasn't QA'd or tested right and ended up getting out there, likely we'll see the return of the suit / helmet prizes either on the 18th when the DLC goes live or whenever they figure out how to stop DLC items being given away as prizes.

Seems typical of video game companies these days though, they rush out products (or the developers are forced to do so by their parent / marketing companies) that end up loaded with bugs, some of which are often glaring obvious and should have been caught in testing, knowing they can use the internet to throw out patch after patch to fix things that shouldn't have even made the release version.  Gotta love "big business".

If you read the DLC info...  You don't get all the suits/hellmitts - just a sampling...   Maybe PD was afraid if you can get them for free that no one would opt for the DLC.  Either way it's :fuck ed up.  Why don't they just leave things be and let us have FUN!!!

Oh, and lift the $1M gifting moratorium...  The games been out a year now.

Also also, don't we need a few more Jap cars - more than the paltry DLC group...   I don't know about y'all but I think we could definitely use a few dozen more Skylines.  :laugh

Something interesting I just found out, it appears the suits are back in the game.  I just ran my E-Type Jag through 2 races from the Supercar Nostalgia seasonal and got a Woodland suit in yellow / red / blue / white from one of them and an old helmet from the other.

Yeah, I guess somebody bitched loud enough (no  no Not ME! ) and they reinstalled the suits and helmets awards.

I mean, After all, It takes an IDIOT Not to realize that the bargain  in the DLC is to buy the Complete Package.  For what they're offering, why would we want to spen more money to exclude the suits and helmets package?  Does not compute PD, You FUCK ing MORONS!

There, I feel much better now.

Taken from this GT News article..

Quote
Notice: Cancellation of Seasonal Event

We have discovered a problem in the Gran Turismo 5 Seasonal Event, "Drift Trial No. 21" that had been released from Oct. 20. The distribution of this event has therefore been cancelled temporarily.

We will be re-releasing this event once the issue has been fixed. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Oh well, it was good while it lasted.. which was about 2 hours.

"PD Giveth, PD Taketh away!"   :-\

That pretty much sums it up with simply EVERYTHING THEY DO.

When are these stupid IDIOTS going to get a clue?  While they think they have the very best driving game on the planet (which they do), when are they going to "wise up " and see what else is going on in the racing game world?  They could make their track creator so much better.....they could stop the stupid "credit control" and allow for trading of cars worth over a million....Oh, hell, what's the use........ :-\

Nope, didn't make me feel any better this time.  :'(
