Given the severe lack of grip / control for rallying I'm finding the new penalty system to be ridiculously over sensitive on the Eiger time trial, after a good 30 minutes I've yet to get halfway around the track before getting a penalty from even the slightest graze of the fence.

[EDIT]
You even get a penalty for landing heavily coming off a jump.. in the middle of the track!

Do not attempt, Roger.

It's not too bad, just slow down. I hit the wall on the downhill run the 1rd attempt, restarted, and just took my time. Got gold on the 2th run, by 20+ seconds.

The Cape Ring DT captured my attention, so I spent a little time on it. Got the score up to 10,6??, and just couldn't get it any higher. Was ranked 502st at the time. Seems that the Speed 12 is everybody's go to car for milking drift scores. I used a premium 88 Supra.

Yeah it's ok if you can get the hang of slowing down enough, almost too much in fact.  The only good run I had just felt so wrong driving wise, like I was driving on eggshells or trying to tiptoe around the track just to make a clean run.

The gold time on the rally time trial is really low so you just have to be careful.  I hit one or two walls on my first lap but my time was almost half a minute faster than gold.  Took me four laps to get a clean lap.

I ran the rally track and got a penalty on the first run, but still turned in an unqualified time that was within 4 seconds of Gold.  It Can be done, but as far as I'm concerned, with the newer penalty system and slipperiness, it just is too much of a PITA to be bothered with it.

Coupled with the "B-Spec" challenge, I think PD could do a bit better than they have over the last two weeks.  Just sayin'......

Yup, it's A-spec :).  The only troublesome opponent can be the Dome concept car, it runs a good amount faster than the other AI cars in the field (especially at Tsukuba) so you may have to over power your car or run on better tires to ensure a win if you see that and are trying to use something around their specs.

This one only took two tries for me to run a clean lap and get gold. :o  The London time trial seems much more difficult. I settled on silver I think.

also, bronzed the two drift events.  ???  :o :o  :laugh

1967 Toyota 2000GT

Yep, and another great car for those evnets:  Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110) '73

and you may also want to try the Fairlady 280Z-L 2seater '78....fun car to drive.  I tested the Mitsubishi LANCER 1600 GSR '74, Toyota 2000GT '67, Mitsubishi GALANT GTO MR '70, The Toyota SPORTS 800 '65 and the Honda S800 '66.

I had the MOST FUN with the LANCER 1600 GSR '74 -  It was really fun to throw around on those courses, especially the last one at Toscana.

I have Put the Skyline 2000GT-R, The Fairlady 280Z, The Toyota SPORTS 800 '65 and the Mitsubishi LANCER in my "shared Car" list if anyone wants to try them.   They are completely outfitted, so you can customize your settings however you wish.  :D
