For the FR challenge I used mainly a stock 370Z, lightly modified (30 extra hp) S2000 and a stock  M3 CSL.  While these were all in the 460-480PP range I used stock suspensions and transmissions.  Nothing that changes the original feel of the car.  If the PP system wasn't flawed that would be reflected in some way.  :P

Swiped this from GT Planet..

New A-Spec races are now available in GT5‘s latest Seasonal Events, which feature 4WD cars of no more than 530PP. Here’s a closer look at what’s new:

Laguna Seca Raceway / 5 Laps
    1st: Cr.166,600  2nd: Cr.91,630  3rd: Cr.66,640

Grand Valley Speedway / 5 Laps
    1st: Cr.183,000  2nd: Cr.100,650  3rd: Cr.73,200

    Cape Ring / 3 Laps
    1st: Cr.206,000  2nd: Cr.113,300  3rd: Cr.82,400

    Sarthe Circuit 2009 / 2 Laps
    1st: Cr.231,900  2nd: Cr.127,545  3rd: Cr.92,760

    Toscana (Pavement) 104A / 7 Laps
    1st: Cr.198,400  2nd: Cr.109,120  3rd: Cr.79,360

New OCD is up and is pretty much all Audis, 4WD ones regular cars and some MR / FR race cars.

Also, I managed to win the first two races by a good way using the premium DLC VW Golf R thing at about 470PP.  It's a really peppy little car with all the weight / engine mods done but almost no bolt ons, chances are it can be dialed back further too and still win.

I shared the one I used but I don't know if anyone is allowed to borrow it since it's a DLC car.

I noticed too there is actually a bug / error with the seasonal too in terms of what cars we are allowed to drive and those the AI gets to use.  Specifically there are two vehicles, the Mazda MX-Crossport Concept and the Mazda Mazdaspeed Atenza, both are technically 4WD (you can tell by how they drive or upgrades) but show in the drivetrain as -- (meaning undisclosed).

The AI can drive them so the game obviously recognises them as 4WD on some level but won't allow us to take them into a race, there was a similar error in GT4 where the AI would show up in concept cars where we weren't allowed to.

GT5's description is lacking so it gets filtered out. I've run across this in online races where I know I have the car, but race room settings and car description filter it gone.

Good point Dude, I went ahead and jumped in the Mazdaspeed Atenza just now to double check and it let me into the race.  Actually wasn't expecting that given GT's track record when it comes to what is or isn't allowed (like those seasonals that are "Normal Car" only but the special race spec garage filter still shows race cars that fit the rest of the specs).

Oh well, I guess I can downgrade that to a mild inconvenience from "yet another :fucking annoying bug" :).

454pp at Le Sarthe will get you just over 1 million credits with the 200% bonus. I was shooting for a 100pp under the limit, but after running the Honda Element at 435pp, and taking 5 attempts to win, I'll settled for that for now. Winnings were 1.1 million credits, and 136,000+ XP. On top of that, the AI was shockingly aggressive. The lead two cars were an Evo, and a Scooby, both of which tried to spin me out on multiple occassions.  :o It was without a doubt the most exciting, and at the same time infuriating offline race I've run to date. I saved the replay, and will post a few pics later on, of the insanity.
