Hmm, so I guess it goes without saying that everyone will be using McLarens for the 650PP Time Trial?

550PP - Comfort: Soft
650PP - Sports: Hard

I see we've been upgraded to the Spanky the S&M Seasonal Monkey, oh joy ::)

Don't get me wrong I'm all for a bit of a challenge but sheesh.

4 drift trials as far as I'm concerned.  :)

That sounds like it might make it fun, actually trying to drift to gold as opposed to driving it to gold.

I might have to borrow my brothers vid camera this week.

Well after my initial over reaction I did find out it wasn't "quite" as bad as I expected but I think a lot depends on how much you care :).  I just picked the cars, set Traction Control to 1 (not interested in banging my head against a wall) and limped around the tracks for the gold times, turned out it wasn't too bad but I might have gotten lucky with car choices.

Actually used the Jaguar XJ220 for the British only one, my first thought was the McLaren F1 but I saw that was the "go to" car so I went elsewhere, the other one I used was the old Nissan 370Z Tuned Academy car.  Both were under the PP limit though so that might have helped, Jag was 618PP and Nissan was 525PP or there abouts I think.

Ran the '10 Aston Martin V12 for all evnets at 545pp,, and still got gold in the 650 one. Use comfort hards at Tsukuba. :)

I followed this concept a bit...but on the light side. I took the 111R at 537pp and golded the 650 first lap. There may be something wrong with us up here, as I checked the rankings and found that clacksman used the same car.

Also, I found that I was helped a lot by the time I put into GT Academy...on these crap tires

For shits and giggles, I took my Cerbera out on C-hard/C-medium combination and actually took a stab at drifting out a gold time at Grand Valley and failed to even hit a bronze in just a couple attempts but had a hell of a lot of fun trying it.

http://www.gtplanet.net/ferrari-f1-cars-featured-in-new-expert-gt5-seasonal-events/

racing hard, 871 limit, reduced PP awards in effect, SP1 for winning all 5 races. Rome, Indy Road, Tokyo Rev, Nurb 24, Eiffel Circuit. Run my shared F2007 at 825pp and you could get upwards of 2 million if you have the 200% sign in bonus at some of these races - the last two for sure.

OCD updated, Isuzus, Paganis, Lancias, plus a few oddball selected cars.

Well...  For the rest of us, I shared a 871PP F2010.  It's brand new, just an oil change to bring it to 871PP.  Feel free to tune it, though.

I'll give your F2007 a try, but I don't have much hope for a win at Nurb, except if opponents are driving LADAs  :(

I agree. I still have to do Nurb. I used Turbo's F2007 @ 850pp. Real fun chit.

Funny, I thought the opposite. Tried Rome, maybe 2 laps, and said fuck it.

:ditto

As soon as I saw it was F1 Ferraris I immediately thought it wasn't going to be a good seasonal (for me), I'd much rather have seen Ferrari road cars with an F1 prize or something like that.

Rome was by far the most difficult track for me (it might have just been because it was the first track though) followed closely by the Eifel track until I figured out the corners.  I just grabbed a brand new F10 (to make room in the bank account) and increased the top speed just a touch but left everything else on default including Traction Control.

Took a few curse filled laps and race restarts at Rome to get the hang of driving an F1 (and again at Eifel til I learned it enough) but mostly I found if you try to be gentle and stay on the road it's enough to win, trying to push and drive hard usually had me in a spin or in a wall so I just slowed down a bit and won by a good margin on every track after that.

Did them all once with my main account but won't be doing it again with my other account.

I did them all in one evening. For some reason I always start backwards :-\ Nurb was so much fun I ran it several times after getting the gold.

I actually ran a couple of these, Rome and the Nurburgring.  Pretty fun.  I wasn't paying attention while doing the nurburgring, forgot it was the 24 hour track and turned right into the wall at the end of the lap instead of joining the GP track.  talk about muscle memory.  Dropped from 3nd to 7st but managed to claw back on the last lap and take first.

I seem to recall the F10 having issues with bottoming out when at full aero.  If you are having difficulties with the F10 try the F2007.
