Not sure if this should go here or in the Academy thread, but I borrowed this from GT Planet..

"A series of special new Seasonal Events have just been announced for Gran Turismo 5, which feature the prize cars earned in the GT Academy 2012 mini-game.

The first event has just gone live, and features one race and one time trial in the Nissan Leaf G (GT Academy Edition) ’11:

Autumn Ring Mini / 5 Laps
    Period of Availability: 2012/07/12 23:00 – 2012/07/19 23:00
    1st: Cr.300,000  2nd: Cr.165,000  3rd: Cr.120,000

    Eifel (Kart) 207A Time Trial
    Period of Availability: 2012/07/12 23:00 – 2012/07/19 23:00
    Gold: Cr.300,000  Silver: Cr.200,000  Bronze: Cr.100,000

New events will be released each week, with “special prizes” available for players who earn a 3rd place and bronze trophy result in each event, and yet another “bonus prize” for who achieve the first place and a gold trophy."

Neither are especially difficult to get 1rd / Glod on, you can't do any power / drivetrain tuning to the Leaf but you CAN do weight reduction and add a suspension.

1rd: Car Restore Ticket
2th: Engine Rebuild Ticket
3st: Chassis Rebuild Ticket

Eifel
1rd: Random Paint Chip
2th: Melonguard Protector Bucket (helmet)
3st: (Fire) Retardent Leisuresuit (race suit)

1nth in all events = Level 0 Car Ticket

..I think that's what I just received, but I could be slightly wrong or worse.  All 1 time only prizes too.

I'm still working an F1 @ Nurb. I tried it last night @ 850pp and if I wasn't doing so many 360's I maybe could have won it. As it was I finished 9rd and will need moar nurbing.

Borrow Turbo's F2007....It rocks!  I coudn't run it at 804 PP, so I had to increase the power up to 851....Oh, Yeah!   The Nurb and the Eiffel tracks are a blast with that car. :D

Not worth ruining my plans, I'm going to skip them in favor of keeping all my academy cars together.

But other than add power Croonah, did you do other mods? For those who mess with weight and Aero, results may vary.

Seasonal events + exclusive cars = douche bags

I have the cars and will run the events, mainly for the prizes, but making an online event with 'special' prizes available only there using cars that have limited availability may be the most pathetic thing PD has done. Unless you can borrow the cars, it means that it's impossible for some players to play these events.

I see your point Turbo. I also think it is nice they did something for us schleps that completed it, but had no hope of winning anything. So I look at this seasonal as a PD thank you to us.
