1st outing in the drivers seat of the C7 Proto ....

1st lap RED - Crashed in Esse's at end of long straight coming to finish.
2nd lap GOLD @ 7:47 ...

In speculation mode, if I were able to tune ....

First order of business is BRAKES.  Car sucks on corner entry under braking.  Would start at 6/2

Again with the ass-end ... corner exit doesnt like full throttle.  I'd try bumping up the RH rear. If that didnt do it, I'd adjust LSD to 5/15/30 to start.

Alittle push mid-corner, but easily adjusted with throttle pressure.

Overall, not a bad car .... certainly have driven worse.

2 tries at the Ring is enough for me .... I'm done.

Don't forget SRF is on and the car will feel completely different with it off.

SRF was off when I looked...Traction control is on but you can turn it off

Yeah, it's all about tire choice on most of them. The first race, I tried switching tires with the weather, big mistake. Stuck racing softs on there and kept them on and it was a breeze. Next two races, I stuck with Racing Intermediate and won them without too much challenge. Now I'm trying C7 at the Ring. This is definitely an expert event. Damn car keep spinning either upon braking or acceleration. Pretty much a giant turd. Can believe Chevy would let them put such a piece of crap in the game. Gives them a bad name. Hard as fuck to drive.

I dont know that I put too much weight into a $50k purchase basing my research off a video game. We know how far off base PD can be on different issues would not seem very prudent to trust them entirely. If GM were making cyber cars then yes I see your point about them having egg on their face over this.

The game physics can and have been changed on a whim, so they definitely can not be used to judge a real car by.

Before update 2.09 the NC Roadster was a much more accurate rendition of the real thing, than it is now. Mine has never had the amount of understeer the game car has now.

So, how do you see the tire model being "off", now, compared to before?

Is it just grip that is the problem, or is it more complicated than that?

My beef with the physics isn't tire related, but more car behavior. Since I current own a NC "Roadster", it's where I notice it being off. This particular car was close to the real one before update 2.09. With that said, there were, and still are some screwed up things with the tuning, that are reverse from real life.

Well I finally got through the Nurburgring in the C7. That was so frustrating. I could not get through the course without getting one tire into the grass at least once and that's all it would take. If you even barely touch a guardrail or get off into the grass more than just a hair, you get DQ'd. So after about 15 tries, I decided to just try to make it around the track without spinning out. Drove really cautiously and got silver. Then I discovered I had the damn Traction Control on (wish we could set that once and be done with it). So I turned it off and got Gold. The good news is that I probably know that track a little better now.

Man the whole holiday bonus crap came along at a great time. I went from level 36 to 40 in a few days. And the 4.1 million every nine mins from the Ferrari race @rome has helped fill the garage up as well.

That's me.  I'm great at remembering things like birthdays and such a day or so before I need to but then when the day actually comes, I forget.

This is an expert level race event using GT500-class cars from the Super GT and Japan GT Championship series. Cars can be tuned to 600PP and tires are restricted to Racing/Hard or less. Participating with cars having a lower PP will grant a higher performance difference bonus to your rewards. For example, using a 550PP car will roughly double the reward after the race.

Isn't this similar to what we used back on December 19 Seasonals?

I'm thinking yes:

600PP GT500: Suzuka Circuit / 10 Laps
    Period of Availability: 2012/12/19 22:00 - 2013/01/09 22:00
    1st: Cr.750,000  2nd: Cr.375,000  3rd: Cr.262,500

Chrome, I think you said you used the wieder GT 500 Honda.....Looks like a winner for these tracks too.
