I am surprised by how many fast guys actually still use it. I have heard some of them say it is there (I) might as well use it. I am sure if these guys looked around their home town they could find someone dealing heroin and since it is there might as well be a junkie. Honestly and this goes for most of the in game aids, I just don't get it, if thats the type of driving being looked for then why buy the "real driving simulator"? To turn around use the aids and make the driving more artificial seems to be actions that are contradictory.

The analogy is apt, because too much heroine can kill you just like getting used to SRF in a game and then going out in the real world and trying the same thing, WILL kill you.

For some, it's just so they can keep doing their favorite thing in GT, which is the TT's.  If that's your focus, I could see using it or being extremely bored.  But, for most of us that's not the case...

had bit of free time to turn a couple of laps get up deal with things sit down turn a few more eventually got my time down to a 1:23.897 on the Lotus seasonal. Wanted to see if I could top my friends list, even the ones using allowed aids while I would use none. Got there at least til someone else knocks me off.

i'll try.  I won't use aids either.  I just needed a non-srf rabbit to chase, so thanks!

I had a bit of time to run the Lotus Seasonal some more and found a little improvement. I know I left some out there so I want to give it another run although I still can't see myself doing a 23. I ended up using CRANK_U1's tune, but altering the ballast position to -25

Damn Baked, hell of a time!

I was a few tenths off your time a day or so ago.  Now I'm really off.

That damn lambo one is driving me nuts.  Got gold but not anywhere near the top friends.

Managed to get a little closer last night, but still not quite there.

Nice job to both Wiz and Brindle 23.4xx. Don't think I can get down there might try some again just to see if I can get close. I also noticed that 8 of the 28 friends who had tried it had SRF on. And none of the top 4 on my friends list used it.

These seasonals simply don't interest me. That said I am not providing any challenge to my friends list I am just running getter done mode for the paint and walking away. It'll likely stay that way with few exceptions until when and if drift seasonals are brought back.

I don't follow how the displayed friends get picked, so if we go back another day and redo the Seasonals, do the friends change as we get better times?

I only do them until I get the cash then run, so I don't know how this works. If I just stay in the test, they don't change.

You mean, the ones that show up as blue snake lines?  It loads the bottom 10 for you to race against.  Once you beat them (haven't checked since update 1.05 hit) you have to exit event, and go back in and it will load up the next 10.  Usually doing that twice gets me racing against my top friends.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of that. I figured that they would update, but I didn't know how.

Like I did with the Elise Race Car @ Brands Hatch, I'm going to do all of the above with no ABS.  Who's going to join me?

If you haven't tried no ABS in GT6 yet, give it a shot.  It's MUCH better than it was in GT5.  It's what made that Elise one fun for me. :)

cool!  Maybe I will try that.  Definitely no SRF, and maybe no ABS.
